How to build a silent PC?
The PC fans in this game are really loud and I like to have my working computer silent.
I had a heatsink for cpu cooling and no case fans but it's still as loud as any other computer.
I tried unplugging the graphics card but the fan sound is still there, I imagine it's from the PSU?
Are there silent graphics card and PSUs in this game? I'm half way to level 17.

If you want a silent workstation computer, do the Arctic Alpine 12 Passive CPU cooler, the PSU I mentioned above, and if you're level 16 or higher, you can get a watercooled GPU. Even without cooling, the temps will stay reasonable if you're not running 3DMark. Perfect silent workstation.

I dont think noise is a simulated factor. It should though. It could add a whole new range of jobs and the parts are already there.

For now, I believe all PCs will sound more or less the same.

I agree with this. I don't know of a fanless PSU in the game (though there certainly could be one) but it doesn't seem to matter how many fans you cram into the machine it always sounds like the same turbofan set for takeoff no matter what. If there is a fanless PSU then you could hook up that to a motherboard and try to boot the PC. It won't boot obviously but it will power on and you can see if you still hear fans or not.

Hemicey is correct, the NJ520 is indeed silent. Just for fun though hook up a single case fan and you'll find that it's just as loud as any other PC in you can build. So while you can indeed make a silent PC, despite what others are saying apparently, noise is still not something that is simulated (unless a simple boolean noise value counts as a simulation). All PCs still sound more or less the same, which is to say they sound exactly the same regardless of how many (with the exception of 0) or what kind of fans are installed as well as which case parts are or are not installed.
