Stuck at OCing for a Customer
So i'm currently stuck at this one Mission

Tried various Options but none got me to my goal...

The customer wants me to Build a PC for him with the Following Achievements:

3DMark Score of 2836

Overclock CPU to 4000 MHz (Tried the AMD Ryzen 5 1500X from 3700 MHZ to 4000 MHz and the Intel Core i5-6600K from 3900 MHz to 4200 MHz)

Overclock GPU to 1604 MHz Core Clock (Tried the GTX 1050 Ti which went just above 1800 on both Core Clock and Memory Clock, also tried Dual GPU but there's no GPU in 1400 MHz which would actually fit in the Budget)

He also wants me to put in MSI Components, where i'm unsure if that depends on the Mainboard now (MSI Z270) or on the GPU...

Also got a very tight Budget of $1136

If you got any tips, i'd be really grateful if you'd kick em out... Just trying to get back to the 5-Star Total Rating...

Edit: The Scores i got around are always around 2600

Edit2: The Memory i tried to use was either 2x 2400 MHz overclocked to 2600 MHz, 1x 2666 MHz overclocked to 3000 MHz and 3000 MHz overclocked to 3200 MHz

because solutions, we may give you, but maybe it's parts not unlocked to you yet ?

But a few tips before you come back to us.

When OC is asked for a GPU, ONLY CORE clock is taken into account.
Which means that if you cannot reach said OC speed due to overheating, you may want to DOWNclock the Memory clock to be able to OC more the core clock.
Now that's for jobs that don't really need a score.

Also on those OC jobs, there is NO NEED to OC per say. so if you have an unlocked GPU (or CPU for that matter) that reach asked OC frequency, you simply install it and it validates.

So for your CPU for instance, do you have the Intel Core i3-7300 unlocked ? it's already @4000MHz (or the i3-7320 it's even 4100MHz)

For the GPU, do you have the EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING 3GB unlocked ? It's already 1708MHz base core clock.

For the MSI components, as long as you have ONE single component meeting that request, you are all good, so you can go MSI Mobo or MSI GPU (or both)
On some of those, if customers ask you for a SilverStone component, you could go with a SilverStone PSU and not necessarly a SilverStone CPU Cooler (or vice versa). A single Arctic case fan would be enough for an Arctic fanboi, etc

So now, for your very build, I can have a $810 PC that meets your requirements as far as those numbers go.

All that if you simply enable the RAM XMP (which brings you @2600MHz, and don't ask me why this mobo jumps from 2600MHz to 2800MHz and does not accept the base speed of 2666MHz...) will give you a score of 3342

Now if you don't have those parts unlocked yet, just hit us again.

what's your level? We don't know which parts are unlocked without this information.

My Level is 16 right now

That's really nice to know that i'm not supposed to be below of the Value i have to achieve.
Going to try that as soon as im playing PCBS again. :D
Also remember when these jobs have a customer that wants you to "Overclock the video card", they are referring to the video card's core speed, -NOT- it's ram speed. Often times you can reduce a video card's memory speed significantly and that will give you more "overclock headroom" and allow you to push a video card's core speed higher. This may make it easier for you to complete these jobs perhaps.
