System encountered an uncorrectable hardware error
I keep getting this error no matter what I do.
I have a coolermaster C700P with an extra case fan and 1 coolermaster liquid 240 cooler
AX370 Gaming K7
AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
Shean 600 PSU
16 GB Ram
2x GTX 980 Ti 6GB

Everyone keeps saying this error is caused by PSU. Total rubbish and I have maxed out my PSU and everytime I get BSOD with this message. I dont know what I am doing wrong but its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me off now.

Did you run OCCT in infinite mode and wait over time for the power usage to get to maximum and level off to see how much power the system is actually using? Does it go over 600 watts? If you haven't done that yet then do it then write back.

I already wrote that to you in the other thread there without even knowing at the time I posted what was your build.

Could you give more info on what was the job, what are you trying to achieve, what have you done (overclocking) and what is the build...

Because stating

If you use 2 GPU that uses 250W each (=500W) + a CPU that uses 95W, that alone will need more than 600W, yeah because while the game does not give you what other parts uses, it factors a bit more into the Wattage used.

And if over that, you OC the CPU or the RAM, ofc the wattage use will raise.

So if you haven't OC anything, and are trying to build a dual GPU, WITHOUT any overclocking and still get that message, maybe try a 650W

Now if you try to max overclock dual GPU, chances are high the 600W will not suffice.

That's why you need to monitor OCCT on INFINITE,a nd if the crash happens around 50 seconds into the test, it's probably a lack of wattage (monitor the wattage build up in nubers in OCCT)

If OCCT make the PC crash instantly, revert your BIOS in factory settings, and test again.

EDIT : Just to backup words with pics
This build :
1x AMD 1800x = 95W
2x 980 Ti Golden ed. 250w each = 500W
NO overclocking, not even the RAM, all BIOS is factory speed.

500w + 95w = 595w, and yet, OCCT gives me 625w

And what do you do ? you create a new post with funnily the EXACT build I took as an example with even pics showing how much wattage it used...

If you did not read it there, maybe you'll read it here ?
You say now you "maxed out" the PSU... how is 600W maxed out ? there are PSU that goes over 1000w in the game.

So if you read carefully my quoted post in my previous thread, I advised you to use a 650W, did you try that ?

If not, simply install AT LEAST a 650W and it will not BSOD anymore (unless you OC anything)

Because the 950Ti use 250W each, same as the Gold ed. I used in my try to demonstrate my text.

EDIT
Now if for any reason the 600W is really the max wattage PSU for now for you (like level locked for now), and you really need a dual GPU build, then maybe try it with a 580 build, as they use only 185W each, or DOWNclock the GPU using GPU tuner to get under that 600W power draw.

I ran OCCT and it goes up and beyond 600W. I cant find any PSU in the shop over 600W. I am trying to achieve a 3D Mark of 5357. I am still learning about overclocking RAM and CPU. I am only on Level 9 so certain stuff isnt available in the shop yet. I have read stuff online but its a little confusing to be honest.

(notice I use CAPS for emphasis, not shouting)
Ok good, that info of the scoer you tried to reach was not given before, and that's an important info.

See I just edited previous message, so maybe that went unnoticed, so.
With that 5357 Score and a 1800x you can already use, you have a LOT of possible builds.

Now if you need a dual GPU, with that 1800x the 580 will do the trick, and using 2 RAM sticks of 3400Mhz for instance, if you use the MSI Radeon RX 580 GAMING X+ 8G in dual, you will have a score of 8773, and a wattage JUST OVER 500W

Still with that 1800x, + 2 RAM of 3400Mhz, you can as well just use a dual MSI Radeon R9 380 GAMING 4G
That would give you a 5647 score, and yet again under 550W

Now still with your 1800x and again 2 RAM 3400Mhz, and a SINGLE MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti GAMING 6G, you will get 5738.

So here are the solutions for your score I guess ? That will all fit your 600W PSU.

So yeah that BSOD you have is still caused by a not powerful PSU for the build you tried originally.

If OCCT is going beyond 600 watts then it should be pretty obvious that you need a power supply larger than 600 watts for your current build in game. You did not "Max the power supply" because the biggest power supply in-game is a 1600 watt unit and you just have not unlocked access to it yet. You'll probably have to scrap that build and re-build it using one of BonPadre's suggestions.

Oh btw, for now, you'll learn OC slowly as you progress in game, so don't worry much about that for now.

All solutions I gave up there to you all ofc needs you to ENABLE XMP in the BIOS, to make sure the PC will use the MAX RAM speed from either the RAM itself, or if the RAM speed exceeds the max RAM speed allowed by the Mobo, to at least reach that capped Mobo RAM speed.

But that's only what you have to do. Just click that "enable" XMP in bios, nothing more.

Thanks both for your kind help. I lowered the GPU spec to a Shean and ran the benchmark and it matched the customers requirement. So am guessing, like you suggested, not enough guts in the PSU. its all good fun and am learning bit by bit. I have 4 star rating so guess am not doing too bad lol. Thanks for your help again.

You're welcome and don't hesitate to come with more questions if you need help.

And yeah nicely done with Shean as well.

Just really really make sure you make enough MANUAL saves before accepting jobs, and for me I do them as well BEFORE I give back PC's to customers, that way if I messed up something, I can reload the save and find what I missed to get 5 starsm (usually I messed up a part with a used part in newer builds, not paying enough attention when I build).

Rotate between 3-4 saves and keep the newer one, so you can always revert back in case of bugged jobs, or impossible jobs you may have accepted and not knowing it was impossible (like OC GPU over 2400MHz)

Have fun playing the game :steamhappy:

Yes I think I will do that. I only have 1 save which seems to be the auto one which saves after you end the day.
I got 1 star the the other day, purely because I forgot the thermal paste. I built a really high spec machine which went right his budget and was really pleased with myself as well.
Oh well. live and learn.
Thanks again.
