Going under budget do anything?
My client wants me to upgrade his pc with a budget of like $570 it has to hit like something around 3338 in 3D, yet it already hit like 3340 or something like that, the only thing I have to to do is upgrade his ram, will it do me anything if I just buy simple ram to surpass his current one

I just went back to check his ram is a ADATA Premier Series 8gb 2133mh like I can beat that price super easy will I get paid more or reviewed better if I go under budget?

i don't think anything happens if you go under budget

The only way going close to the budget will help you is if they ask for the parts on their rig to be replaced in the future in a separate later job, giving you the more expensive parts to sell. (like giving a guy 3TB drive instead of the needed 1TB, which he will ask you to upgrade to 8TB giving you that 3TB drive for a bit more money than a 1TB you would have originally gotten). Otherwise there is no penalty.

In jobs like this i change their working parts with new ones (same usually). Used parts then I use to build computers for sale on PCBay.
Those are basically free parts for you.

Unfortunately no. You don't get more money

It was coded this way in older game's version though, as you were paied a fixed price, no matter if you replaced parts or if you even achieved a job just by OC, you got paied like if you were replacing parts. but that's no more. You are paied the value of the installed parts, and your only earnings comes from labor as of today.

But I do like Frabato, that's parts you can use later on ;-)

You have to be careful however with that. If you ever go over the minimum hardware required to complete the job then sometimes you may get some customers that will return the same computer later and ask you for upgrades but then because you already put "Fancy hardware they didn't need" in originally, you may not be able to complete the later upgrade jobs within budget. Because replacing their fancy parts with something better would go over the (later job's) budget. I usually recommend to everyone to always only do the bare minimum for all jobs just to be safe.
