Hidden Objectives: List of hints?

I'm pretty new to the game and just starting to decipher "customer speak" and what the clues are for the hidden objectives. Shooting for 5 stars on every job but some jobs don't seem to give hints (or at least none that I'm catching). Has anyone compiled a list of all the clues and what you're supposed to do for them?

There isn't any "list" I have come across, but it's always pretty straight forward for secondaries.
I'll give my best from top of my head, so maybe sentences are not exactly those, but still pretty close

Dust cleaning

It's running hot in there - My PC lives on the floor - A lot of stuff felt from PC when I picked it up - My vents are clogged

Virus scan

My PC is getting slow - I think I clicked on something bad - My children use my PC - I may have visited one too many shady site

NO used parts

I heard you guys install used parts, don't do that to me - I know used parts can be cheaper, but I want all brand new parts - I worry about used parts - I like nice and shiny new components

3DMark Benchmarck

My son always talk about 3DMark - I hear 3DMark is a great way to test for stability - Benchmarking your changes is really important

1-2 days deadline

I need it to be done quick (I ALWAYS complete them same day I recieve them, to avoid any issues)

Specific brands

I'm a "XYZ" fanboi - My brother has "XYZ" in his PC - "XYZ" are the best

Cables colors

Pretty straight forward, the customers are asking for a specific color AND type of cable (plastic / braided)

I don't think I missed any of the secondaries jobs types, but pretty sure I forgot a few sentences along the way

BEST TIP

Perform enough MANUAL saves and have a rotation between them (I keep at least 4 rotating ones, I overwrite always the oldest) just PRIOR to give back PC's to customers.
That way you can revert back if :
- You missed a secondary
- You messed up badly something and got 1 star (budget, BSOD)
- You totally missed a deadline (that one may need you to revert back maybe to 2-3 days earlyer...) as it's annoying, you can't give back PC to customers unless it has changed in yesterday's patch (but haven't seen anything related in patch notes)
- You stumble across a bugged job (PC case issues - Conflicting parts, making them unremovable - duplicating tagged customer parts you can't install back, etc)

Having enough manual saves will always allow you to revert back to a state where you ofc lost some time, but at least don't get angry at the game for giving you 1 star for maybe something you weren't responsible of (unable to complete jobs due to bugs)

[Remedy]

I don't believe there is an official list to all of them, but here are ones I have encountered:

If the customer mentions...

• Their computer running slow - Virus Check
  
• Their computer is dusty/dirty - Compressed Air Cleaning
  
• A specific brand - Use that brand for parts that you can
  
• Make this a number 1 priority or do it quickly - Finish within 3 days
  
• A specific cable color - Swap all cables in their computer to that color
  
• A deadline - Finish by the deadline
  
• Benchmarking - Benchmark their computer after it is assembled (make sure you benchmark again if you swap any cables or parts after an initial benchmark)
  
• No used parts - Use only new parts their computer

I believe this is all I have encountered so far, but I hope it helps!

I think what's really bugging me is the ones that give me 4 stars even though I got all the objectives, hidden or otherwise (I think )

You don't get "random" 4 stars (or 1 star)
It's always that you missed something.
I mean I played this game extensively and since they introduced that system, besides a few bugs, I always get 5 stars (bugs were most often tied to cables colors in older iteration, but fixed now, peeps also often MISS a cable somewhere)

So that's why I said MANUALLY save prior to giving back PC's to customers, that way you can revert back and find what you missed.

For cables colors (because I think it's the most often missed thing), make sure you remove ALL cables, and open both sides of the PC, there are the HDD / SSD SATA cables you can miss easy, as well sometimes with the back case fan.

Also, with USED parts, when not paying attention while in inventory, it's easy to get a 4 stars for that (if you have a fitting used RAM for instance in a new build) so always pay close attention to that USED tag while installing parts.

I mean, I'm lvl30 and I'm 5 stars since I could reach it. So there is no "random" hits by the game.
But sometimes here and there... Lack of focus and I get one where I revert back. But that's ALWAYS on me ;-)
