This has been brought up many times, which you would know if you have used the search.
Anyway, here is one of the replies that can be found:

No. The developers have already stated previously that there will never be laptops in this game.

Laptops are not custom built by hand like PC's are. You can't buy a "laptop case" and then buy a "laptop motherboard" and "Install" it like you do desktops. It would be virtually impossible for them to ever simulate laptop repairs in-game. They couldn't dumb it down to be "generic parts" because that would be incredibly misleading because that's not how it is in real life.
What we need is an RPi (Raspberry Pi) sim.

I think you some how missed the actual title of this game: "PC Building Simulator" ... as I said above you can't "Build" laptops physically. Therefore they can not put laptops in the game. It's not difficult to understand.

I would be interested in a laptop simulator. There are a lot of variables that can be manipulated. The style of chassis, size of monitor, style of monitor such as OLED, IPS, TN, touchscreen, nontouchscreen, refresh rate, keyboard layout, touchpad, RGB lighting, ports, grills, weight and that is just the exterior. There is a lot of complexity and customizability to laptops and I would absolutely purchase it and learn from it.

Some gamers like myself only game on laptops, and these are the people that would love to play a gaming laptop building simulator. Maybe it could be something they could reconsider for the future.

Not really, you can only get barebones (for example Clevo), display, touchpad, lighting and ports are fixed to the selected barebone. You can "only" put in the CPU, GPU (if module and only few are matching), RAM, HDD / SSD, WiFi module and keyboard (because of different layouts).

But that's what bigger build-to-order manufacturers like Sager or Schenker (XMG) do and not "made hobby to a 2nd job" backroom PC builders we have / are in the game. And if you look at those shops then you can see there's no difference because there are only a few barebone manufacturers (MSI, Clevo and one other as far as I know). So not really "There are a lot of variables that can be manipulated."

I tried to explain above in this thread but I guess you didn't read the entire thread before replying. Laptops are physically impossible to simulate in a game like PCBS. You can not "Build" a laptop like you do desktops. It doesn't matter anyway, the developers have already stated previously a hard "NO". Laptops will never ever be in PCBS.

I guess I'm repeating myself again in this thread. Laptops can not be "Built" by hand like we can "Custom gaming computers" in real life. Sure you can "custom order" laptops built by others but we ourselves can not "Buy a empty shell for a laptop and put what ever want in to it" like we can on desktops. No one can make a "Laptop Building Simulator" game because that's not how laptops are assembled. There are no generic parts like in PC's. Every laptop is unique. It can't be simulated in PCBS and you can't make a different game to simulate it either.

you can design it on internet and CHOOSE how it will look like and how powerful it is how the cable will look like the keyboard,if it has touchscreen or not,how the screen res is,camera res, camera placement, power buttonlook and plase, additional hardwear like mine i got dragon center and coolerboost 4 exaple, the fnkeys, numpad not, well and also if its a gaming or a office laptop, aand where the fans are placed, how it is rated ex.fan rate 3 power rate 5 performanse rate 4 travel 2 extra functions 13, what ports there are and how many,

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnd if you say anything now explayn
smartphone tycoon how do we build smartphones there exactly we screew them in noooooooooooooo you choos yeeeeeeeees and then why do you dont stop this is 1 thing and you probebly have nothing to do here if you mess up our planigs for a new game that someone will ever make
