I am level 17. How could I be level 8 after 100 hours of gameplay?
I honestly don't see anything but marginal increases, which is possibly the worse way of designing a game of this type.
Anyone familiar with compulsion loops understands that "Higher Level = Higher Reward = More Engagement." This has been a proven formula throughout the history of game design. In this game it's more like "Higher Level = Same Rewards."
To pick up on a previous point you made about levelling, you can see that profits are almost exactly the same in these two jobs, while Level requirements increase:
A level 9 Job:

A level 17 Job:

The profits, as you've explained to me, are almost exactly the same, making the incentive and rewards in levelling up almost nonexistent.
I think the developer had good intentions with the game, but has very little understanding of how game design works and will have to consider implementing some changes.
So now, again, I'm lvl30 have 5 stars, I don't pay much attention to how much labour a job gives me, I don't refuse many jobs, and I'm not an achievements completionist. But I am only in the $50K bank account in the game with a decent (large ? ) amount of broken PC's to repair stockpiled in my closet.
So indeed, if your main goal to continue to play a game are achievements completions... maybe this game sems the wrong game to play. Same would go with Car Mechanic simulator (some of the achievements are insane), etc.
Doing research I found that the achievements seem to be working fine, but they need to be very specific. Like for instance the Purple lights achievement needs specific colour settings, which are not "255,0,255"
Just managed to get "Hasta la Vista" and "Wow! To build a PC," plus the workbenches ones and "Calling in Sick."
I got "Hasta la Vista" and "Calling in Sick" by downloading "Auto Mouse Clicker" (on murgee), setting number of actions to 700, and letting the program click on "Skip Day" Automatically, while watching Netflix. Worked out nicely.
I think the rest should be perfectly fine to get, all I know is the "Hoarder" one needs specifically one of each part or it will not work.
From what I can see, all achievements have been unlocked by multiple people, but that means nothing since people can use SAM to achieve this in a few seconds.
And... OP did you get Overvolted? That seems broken to me - or I'm not setting it up in the right situation.
