Is this game a virus software?
I read a review in july 9 that this game is a virus software. I don't know if this is true or not. Reviews on Steam just make me feel so confusing... Also I just found randomly this game without even searching and Steam suggested me this. And reading other reviews, this game has the paywalls like crowns or something. Yeah, I was interested to download, but better being cautious.

nope. the person who wrote the review might have caught the "flu" or something :laughing_yeti:
I have been playing the game as Beta tester long ago (before even arrive on Steam) as also their other game Wizard101.

1) The game is free to play but upto some areas, if you want to get the full playable game areas you can either get a membership which unlocks the rest of the areas (and believe me there is a huge game time in it) but when your membership ends you return to free play areas (won't be able to travel to areas that you have open as a membership).

2) If you want to keep the non free areas that you have travel you can purchase them with Crowns and they will be open for you even as a free player to travel to (it's like purchasing the game piece by piece).

Myself, I have been playing both as a membership (due to some extras you get from it) and slowly I have been buying areas with Crowns to keep and play when I return as a free player.

Oh dear...it has been so many years that I have been playing both games that they still amazing me and they have never lost their "magic touch".

From the start of Wizard101 to Pirate101 lots of families enjoyed together playing and many people (mostly children) that were hospitalised (due to sickness, etc) Wizard101 and Pirate101 was their pass time. KingsIsle Forum page was full of these examples (and some families posted photos as a "Thank you" to KingsIsle but of course without providing personal info), old moderators can back me up on these or you can search it for yourself :happy_yeti:

Anyhow, it is your choice to choose if you want to give it a try or not :happy_yeti:

You are welcome and I hope that you will enjoy it as so many of us do :happy_yeti:

By "flu" I mean it as a sarcasm to that player's review :LoveChoiceSweat: (because she/he mentioned the game falsely as "virus software"). People who have been around during the "birth" of Wizard101 and Pirate101 all these decades provide better reviews than some who have been around recently (only from Steam) or they were caught cheating, bulling, etc and they were "kick out" of the game.

Oh, I see.
I played this game around like, 9 years ago when I was a kid. While companies adding malware to games isn't unheard of chances are the game is not malware. If I was able to play it as a 10 year old with no issues I don't think it would ruin my PC now.
