Fire staff doesn't work with haste.
As stated in the title. Just put full points into haste and the fire staff simply won't spray anything with haste active.

I believe you may have clogged the staff with too much soot outflow. Please shake staff for a minimum of ten seconds followed by tapping the staff lightly but repeatedly against the nearest hard surface before attempting to use again.

Funny enough maybe you are right (in a way). Reloaded town and now it works fine. Hm.
