Kinda weird how the Sorc has a spell exactly like them and it states can hit enemy only once. But the spell from the enemies can hit you 100 times lmao.

I'm officially tired of these lightning mages and their shotgunning overkill

It is because they didn’t cap the hits and tick rate. It’s annoying and dumb. Lightning trap pedestal thingy can do it too.

Reminds me of how in an early dark souls (2 I think), the durability was a product of fps so doubling framerate from 30 to 60 made your weapons basically fall apart super fast.

Also, yeah, just lost a good run as paladin to this. Sigh. It’s like you’re cruising so easily then nope, bye to your entire health bar in under a second. I even had a skill that should trigger 25% of the time per damage when below half health to give immunity just to stop this… and nope, didn’t register. Fix the game, devs.

oof 940 life ~60% lightning res in ng0 went into a mob pack instantly dead :D to be fair the game is to easy except these mages are just broken lol (for now if it is like in the first title game is going to become crazy in higher ngs) ^^
something feels off about them, almost feels like more HP I have, the harder i get hit, my warrior with 900hp almost insta dies when not careful with them, but some of my 300hp chars don't care about being in their face, and no hp loss most of the time

or something going on with some trinkets

all the leed talk aside
these mages need to be balanced again
their shotgun is absurd
not so much an issue if you play medium or long range
but in melee these mob-packs are like playing russian roulette;
even with a fully focused lighting-resist focus they can insta gib you even on NG
1k hp lock, just insta deleted. Has to be bugged. Report.
Def lower the framerate. They can still one shot you, but it happens less often. The main issue its seems is that the beams are calculated individually instead of as a whole. So if your character has high movement speed, you literally run into each beam and take damage from each one very quickly.

you know this is not a solution; they need to change it to some sort of projectile.
especialy looking at the rogue-lite nature of the runs this is kinda an important issue
Had this exact thing melt me as a sorceror with stacked elemental resistances from all sources. Stood too close to a wall and got zapped dozens of times in a moment.
made only better by the constant silence and disarm debuffs. Short of carrying the mage tome just to lay down 6 traps to run them thru its bothersome.
again got insta killed from the lightning mage on ng+1 and i had a perfect run amazing items 1100 life its just dumb
