How come this game exploded so much?
What's the case of this game? It's another indie game of the year or what?

I saw that today it's exploded with the players count over the STEAMDB
Yeah it just came out. Ppl are still hearing about it and jumping on the train. As someone who played the previous heroes of hammerwatch I think this one is great so far. Only up to the 3rd boss but up to this point I only see improvements on the first game. Only downside atm is I miss my old priest from the first game. x'D
Heroes of Hammerwatch is a fairly well regarded roguelike take on a diablo style game. Many people were anticipating the sequel - even some who had no interest in the mainline series (Hammerwatch/Hammerwatch 2).

Also, I wouldn't say "exploded". It is in the trending with a peak of 14,000. It is trending as an anticipated sequel to a well regarded game would.

I'm asking about the reason. Big youtuber, word of mouth or what?

Heroes of Hammerwatch II is the sequel to a popular game by a known developer. Today is the first weekend since release.
