Game just came out and its a small developer. There will be more content in the future. If you can't find content out of the millions of games on Steam in the meantime then you should just stop gaming bro

You should stop commenting on Steam if you are just going to judge and insult people.

The game is not at a cheap price so its perfectly logical for someone to be annoyed and what they do with their money or their time is upto them.

Yea I have not even finished the second boss but I felt like this game is going to be too short (due to how the game likes to make u replay entire levels etc. just to prolong gameplay etc.) and not worth the investment. But either way as the judgemental moron commented, its possible that more content is still on its way.
Could be better if the devs gave a roadmap of story expansion etc. at least. I will seriously consider a negative review if more story comes up as a DLC instead of main game when its priced as much as it is

15€ is pretty standard for indie titles and it's not that pricy?

Right? Any game under $30 i would consider cheap, considering the standard for most is $50 to $70, i remember buying AAA titles for under $50 years ago.

So, yeah this game is at a cheap price point.

And @Flash maybe learn what roguelikes/lites are before purchasing them? Replaying levels/runs is basically a core of the game, to get better each playthrough with meta-progression and/or mechanics. It's a whole genre that's exploded in the last few years, so your lack on knowledge of what you're actually moaning about says enough about your character.

If u think so. The content is currently limited so hopefully it justifies the price in time

1. Im not going to debate what ur 'cheap price point' is. There are games at cheaper prices when it comes to Indie titles but like my above comment, perhaps more content will come out to justify the price. US and Europeans will definitely call this cheap but its not for Asians esp for Indians where the price is still differentiable and evident. It costs Rs.100-200 more than what its worth in current state

2. Do u read every contract and terms before installing an app or getting something? Why put such stupid comments like people should do as u say? I looked at the game and it talks about adventure, growing a town as u fight hordes. Im not looking at the game and immediately thinking '2-3 levels of forest + dungeon crawl per mission' WITHOUT ANY SAVES/Checkpoints.
Good for you that u know that and are an expert at Roguelikes.. Rofl.. Unfortunately games are not categorized or come up with Red warning signs 'ONLY FOR Roguelike players, try hards or if u love games where u replay entire stories' or likewise so yea others also buy this lol.. Learn what steam is about

OR better, look at the sheer amount of threads with issues of losses from runs (no checkpoints), small story questions etc. and go annoy them of how they should have conducted research etc. lol... Clearly they all SHOULD have researched before buying the game.. in fact STEAM should post how its illegal for buying a game based on descriptions on the store page. The sheer stupidity of comments and bias

It's a roguelike, it's literally their fault for not understanding what that is.
And even if they do not know or understand what it is, there's this thing that's been around for about 25 years at this point called "google".
Also, the storepage has a tag for it.

Length is about the same if not longer than the OG game not including the DLC campaigns it had. The genre generally wants you to push higher and higher in NG+ for content. Also considering the runs are not savable if they added much more you will be having to commit a ton of time into a single session which becomes a bit much especially in multiplayer, although there are skips you can take if you are strong enough. Personally I would prefer some alternate paths either by choice or randomization than a run extension for content, but I expect alternate entire dungeons like the first had for dlc.

In (atleast) singleplayer you can save midrun, i tested it and if you just push quit on the esc menu, you can pick up where you left of next time.

Ah good to know ty, I'll test it in multi. Friend of mine only has a few hours to play a night so our second run gets cut short often.

Is there even more content planned? The game is not in early access and judging by the last game they released they can just stop releasing patches even after promises if they were made.

If you're talking about Hammerwatch 2 - publisher won't let them release patches.

Could you please link up the source of this, even if its a discord message from one of the developer it would suffice.

No, but normal people usually at least know roughly what they're buying. What you've done is equivalent to looking at something and saying "oh this looks shiny, shiny good, me buy". Not knowing if it's a shiny ring, shiny car or a shiny piece of turd. You just bought it based on the premise of it being shiny.

The game is clearly listed as a "roguelike". Then maybe at bare minimum look up what roguelike is. Or just refund the game and don't go into forums to complain about something that's 100% your mistake. You really only have yourself to blame here. You didn't know what you bought and now you regret it. Take the L and move on.

They talk about the publisher hindering development.

"Sucks they can't push patches like they wanted to. Luckily they're self publishing this time, so they can actually do something about bugs and content now."

"They're kinda stuck with the situation without much power to do much. That's why hoh2 is self published. No begging in vain to let patches go live XP."

There's also the case that patches need to be okayed by the publisher and apparently they just aren't doing that. Plenty of messages from moderators regarding this on the discord.
