Any tips for a new player?
Which class would be best choice for mostly solo play and also pushing the game? I played the first game long time ago and I barely remember it. I remember we was starting a multiplayer like 20 random players than %80 was dying on first floor.
I also remember progression-wise playing singleplayer was huge waste of time, multiplayer was 100x times more rewarding. How is this game?

you're gonna want to play multiple characters, because each level gives all your characters a bonus based on their class (things like Paladin giving you more armor, Rogue giving gold fine, etc).

i find that Paladin is the easiest solo early on just due to how hard they are to kill, especially with their Lay on Hands ability.

i havent played with randoms yet, only solo or in a private match with a friend, so i cant comment there.

Thanks, I remembered the importance of armor and having a shield in first HoH than I started with paladin.

Create a character for each class right at the start to benefit from instant level 1 bonus from each class.

Level up all a little to your need as in paladin for armour, warrior for health etc. the boni which are shared throughout all characters.

Best for singleplayer is probably the paladin as it is most forgiving and gives the best bonus for everyone in form of damage reduction.

Paladin is ez pz, just get bigger aoe and fire on your first skill and roll over mobs.

Thanks for tips, its very helpful. I didn't realized game released 3 days ago and I bought it on its 2nd day.
For me paladin was so bad at start. I barely cleared the first map than died on second.
So I switched to Mage and made it level 6, it was much easier sniping with frost staff.
I turned back to paladin, killed the first boss than died to second. At least its level 10 now.
I'm trying STR Warlock now. Hopefully it will be better when I level it up 5 more times than unlock summoner.

The heal of the paladin is extremely helpful for the first full clear. While you level up your town other classes will come online really fast. But honestly play the class that is most fun and gets you ahead quickly.

You obviously haven't watched me play. I have absolutely NO problem getting the Paladin killed. I completely suck and have only ever made it to the first caverns after the two forests. I guess I'm just not made to play this game. I love it, but I'm so bad.

But, how do you get a bigger AOE on your attacks? That is what I don't understand. Do I just have to keep playing and dying over and over and over and over before I can upgrade my town enough to let me upgrade my skills past the 2nd level upgrade?

When you increase STR stat you also get higher armor which makes the game a lot easier. Build a magic shop in your town after that you will able to select a free buff from list every time you enter the new run. select Massive Strike I than during the game find Massive Strike II and Purging Flames I

edit: also build chapel and select free buff from there too. (Blessing of Protection: -10% damage taken)

another edit: you need to build and upgrade "training grounds" if you want to unlock more skill level.

You also need to upgrade your Guild Hall building for able to unlock higher tier buildings.

edit 4: Our priority probably should be hunting cabin so we get more money from enemies.

Thank you for all the great tips! I made it to the second caves in my last run. I'm making progress! I built the second training grounds upgrade, and am finally buying better armor and skills.

I guess this game just takes persistence and many, many runs in order to succeed. I am only level 5 with my Paladin, level 4 with my Ranger, so still a long way to go.

If your damage reduction through armour hits the mid 70s you can dump your remaining points into vita, this is more efficient point wise.
Great tip! Thank you!
Where do I see damage reduction through armor, please? I'm looking at the stats, but don't see any damage reduction stat. I have 125 armor, and it shows (-38.46%) next to it. What does this -38.46% mean?
