But atm it also still feels a little bit like an early access title. Trinkets which don´t scale and become quite useless in higher difficulties, bad weapon scaling so that even rogue or paladin feel way stronger in mage gear and a full int build. Many things need to get patched to feel "right". Also contentwise the first one has way more to offer, thanks to the dlcs.
Atm we get pathces regulary, so I hope they fix the issues with part 2 and maybe add more content. If this will happen HOH2 is at least for me, clearly the better game.
Also, if you are new to the games, be aware that this is "Heroes of Hammerwatch 2", there is also the original "Heroes of Hammerwatch", but there is also a "Hammerwatch" and "Hammerwatch 2", which are not roguelites!
Personally I prefer roguelites (by quite some margin) but other peoples taste may vary.
this game seems to work fine on steam deck with the tips using proton 7 and sounds like from that game boards it plays ok on steam deck also
