Arista
I just dont understand the trick to beating this F***ing plant. ive wiped 5 times now and im just losing interest. I cant heal fast enough. i cant deal damage fast enough. The thing seems to have something like a 66% damage reduction, and the spams endless plants and rotating poison orbs. My closest attempt wasnt even 50% of its health, and i spent most of it just trying to fight off the plant spawns and avoid the plant spikes.

Is there some kind of trick to this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing that im missing?

What class are you playing? I beat this easily, kill Arista, when the other plants spawn kill them fast and switch back to Arista.

This boss is sadly just a dps check. There's some strategy to killing the small plants it spawns before they pile up, but again if your dps isn't high enough yet you'll fall behind. You'll find most people coming in here telling you they had no problem with it, because most classes easily reach the required dps to beat it without any effort. So you just gotta get slightly better equipment, maybe better trinket rolls, or just level up a bit more if you're not there yet.
like everything in this game, the trick is to have bigger numbers. sometimes it dies in a few sec

The plant boss takes much reduced dmg when the mouth is closed. Dont frontload all your dmg at the very start as it wont open its mouth until after the first wave of spikes.
I hate her too

Im about level 12 i think, paladin, and using a greataxe thats level 8 + 11. If its a DPS check then i guess i'll just have to farm more wood over and over until i can build better stuff. I havent seen a single blue item drop for my class, let alone spec, this entire time which is a bit disappointing.
not to be mean...but, I melt that thing every time. fire did the trick
i just managed to beat her, pure luck on my part i think, i got very lucky with some skeleton knight followers in the 1st floor dungeon, and they were able to tank all her adds for me while i just focused on straight DPSing her ass down. both of them even survived thanks to a couple timely heals.
somehow, my run went from the start, no skips, beat Arista, and made it ALL the way to the Dark Halls.
unfortunately the thunderbird had forsaken me, and the last time it appeared was in floor 2 of the crypts.
so what i managed to send back was less than a fifth of what i had before i died. F
For me, its about learning the distance of the spike rings, and to pay attention when it fires out seeds that turn into, what I call, lurker plants.

Other than that, its just about not getting hit while beating on it.
Arista is not really hard, it's the most boring fight of the game once you know what you're doing

Once you know the timing of the spike ring, the boss is stupidly easy. You just need to hyper focus the boss and stop to kill every plants every time. There's nothing more to do if the plants are not spawned anyway.
The poison orb is always going clockwise. Dodging it is easy.

Nah, the most boring is Shadow Face (giant head boss)

Maybe try another class then come back to this character. It's one of the easier bosses compared to serpents or avatar. Playing through an easier class can improve all characters stats get you chances at gear to stash for other characters.

So far I found the only surefire strategy of defeating this plant without enough DPS: Arctic Boots epic trinket. Just make circles around the plant and it will die so fast, it'll wish it was a winter plant.

Obviously, good luck getting the trinket since I have only seen it once so far and I have played tens of runs.

At least Shadow face need me to actually focus a bit. Those shadow curses projectiles are no joke. And the tons of enemies can easily overwhelm you.

Arista I just keep my finger on my left click and sometimes do a side step to avoid the third ring of spikes. I can sometimes kill it so quickly that it can't summon the poison orb.
