black screen bug

there is a bug in the dark halls, where if you join someone else's match in progress, or if you resume a run after quitting, the screen is all black like if you were in the shadow transition area. moving around, changing graphics settings, updating drivers, restarting steam/pc, verifying files, saving and restarting, and relaunching game doesn't fix this issue.

so i just saw someone join a match of mine when we were in the avatar boss, and they were well outside of the boundaries of the arena. i guided them with directions towards us, but when they reached the edge of the arena they could not enter it and were stuck out of bounds. for them the map was all black. I don't know if this is a separate bug, or the cause of the black screen.
