A much more annoying mechanic is the silence
I reached ng+ after something like 28h and was suprised to see this debuff. It feels really bad even if there are ways to reduce it. I only did a few more runs after but I don't see myself playing a lot more until there is real new content. As I already don't really care about "numbers go up", ng+ simply feels like a worst version of ng so there's no point pushing further imo.
I'ts borderline ignorable as melee facetank paladin.
If you join in middle of run, even having curse resistance gear it's unplayable, each pack of monsters is 25+ curse if you tank, and you always get some if you dodge... You just cant walk up as melee and hit stuff without getting cursed af.
Learn to use it. It is awesome!
There are new Trinkets that reduce Curse. Gear that reduces Curse.
The Curse Casters are generally identifiable by their green robes. Go in on them and CC / kill them before they curse.
Most of my NG+ runs I get to the Avatar at 0 Curse.
Thin them out and watch.
If you see the blackish smoke, that is the indicator for cursed attacks.
Really ? That's one of the most powerfull mechanics late game.
All my runs I have 100 curses making me beat the game in like 30 minutes.
