How to Unstuck Yourself
This post is for better visibility and making this tip easier to find.

If you got stuck in level elements, such as decorations within the walled section after being pushed by the enemy during combat, it seems like the only option is to abandon the run. But that is not true.

You can decide to quit the game. By doing so the game will save your progress on the current level and allows you to continue when restarting the game and selecting the same character.

You basically unstuck yourself with that action.

This also works if you are host of a multiplayer session. The progress will automatically saved for all players and they get the option to continue the run by either rejoining the host or continuuing the run each on their own. No progression loss.

When switching from multiplayer to singleplayer the enemies even scale down. So no horrors in that regards.

So when you found yourself stuck and want to continue: quit the game, hit ALT+F4 for task kill (kudos to the developers for making the game saving so smoothly), start the game anew and reconnect/select the same character you used before and just continue your run.

You will start at the beginning of the level, picked up items will still be in your inventory and slayed monsters will still be slayed. You will be able to continue your run if you decide so.

Works well for most situations. Just sadly not the last boss. If you get stuck out of bounds and quit game you are still out of bounds. I guess step by step for fixes. =)
For anybody that's ever quit a run mid-game, we know that it starts you at the beginning of the level as you describe. This is much less of a fix, than an overly lengthy description of a basic game feature, and this does not always work properly.

I just had a run that me and a coop partner started last night and we ended up quitting at courts because it was getting late. When I tried to resume the run myself today, I am stuck outside the map. We weren't even stuck in the first place, in this scenario quitting and resuming actually broke my game.

What I was hoping for when I saw this was a command to noclip, or an unstuck feature I see in some games that just moves your character back to the map after a delay.

I find the system too complicated.
If you can't fix the issue:

Just give the players an option to teleport back to the start of the level? :br_sad:

It's not complicated they are literally just saying:

1. Quit the game during your run. (ALT+F4 is not necessary)
2. Re-open the game and select continue.
3. Choose the last character you used.

By the time you are back in, half of your team left or is angry, because you had to end the lobby.

P.S.: ALT-F4 is never a valid option for professional coding. But you have no other choice when e.g. the game "hangs" on the loading screen.

I'm aware. I just question why op would inherently suggest to use ALT+F4. The game closes so fast for me personally that I've never had a need to use it. I think you might be thinking of ending the task from task manager for when the game hangs, because ALT+F4 often wont help with that.
This wont work for multiplayer.

I have been pushed out of bounds on 4 occasions. That is 30 minutes to an hour and a half of my life lost each time. Why do mobs have collision and are even able to push players around?
Update: All that join my game are spawned out of bounds as well, so now i can never finish my run....

Does not work. Im out of bounds due to a multiplayer disconnect and this trick still spawns me out of bounds.
Why is this pinned? This has never worked and after the new patch I'ven't spawned outside the map.

Well I just got the game today, and today I joined in the middle of a match and my friend got moved out of bounds stuck in trees in first area. So it isn't fully patched and there is a reason unstuck exists.
