NG+ Rewards?
So I'm currently in NG+1 and as I can see by the patch notes from patch 3, creatures reward 33% more xp.

What about the rest though, I don't feel I get much more gold, wood or stone.
is it intended I should farm normal mode until my town is completely upgraded?

I don't think they get any buffs at the moment, I tried afew runs in ng and really it just seems more fun to play in the normal mode with each character and then come back to the game in afew months to see what else has been added or if the ng has been changed

NG+ isn't really meant to be a way to farm materials and stuff faster. It's the same in HoH1. The purpose of NG+ is that you can push your level cap higher, which is also why the enemies gives more exp.

You don't really need the extra gold/wood/stone and such because pretty quickly you will have maxed everything already. And the only thing that remains is to push higher NG+.

If you're only doing runs to farm materials, then it would've still been quicker to do normal runs even if NG+ gave bonuses. Since then you could just steamroll everything and speedrun it all.

Valid points I guess, but that does mean for me that NG+ is pointless sadly, the game isn't fun enough for me to grind out level caps for no rewards.

Looks like this will be my way to go aswell, check back in a few months and see if any new content has arrived.
Normal mode is a waste to stay in, but I realize more people don't know that, because according to achievements only 3.5% of players have beaten NG+3.

And trust me, you want to get to NG+4, why?

NG+4 adds shadow cursed chests of all kinds, you can see the shadows on them so you recognize them easily. When opened they spawn weird shadow ghosts that can go through walls and fly at you from every direction and any of their attacks that hit you give curse.

Sound bad? Nope, because those shadow chests reward you with a new item that permanently increases one of your stats by 1-3 depending on the quality of the chest. Meaning even if you are at the level cap of 40 at NG+4 you get anywhere from 9-20 stat points every run.

It does increase (with like 10% for each NG+ level), same goes for materials and the your trinkets turn into more rewards as well.

EditL I did a quick test. I picked up a vase thats 375 gold worth and I got 975. I'm on NG+5 and I have +60 from stats. So it seems like 40% for each NG+ level. (2.6X375=975. And 0.4*5+0.6=2,6)

A beetle shell is 30 gold on NG, on NG+10 a bettle shell is 90 gold, that is 20% per NG+ level. I just tested it, I had no other gold modifier.

Edit:

You also seem to have done the calculation incorrectly, you forgot the 100% base gold gain everyone has from the start. The calculation should look like 1+0.2*5+0.6=2.6

Cursed chests and caches start spawning at NG+, its from the latest patch not from NG+4

You arre right, my mistake! I noticed trinket rewards are also increased with 20% per level. One epic trinket gave six red essence (wtf is it called? :D) on ng+5.
