EXP System for late game is very bad.
I dont know, maybe i'm just doing something very wrong, but shouldnt you be able to level up faster in high lvl regions (increased NG+).

It's so weird, trying to fast lvl new characters.
My wizzard just reached NG +4 with lvl 12....

He cheated and now he's crying. Ng0 as lvl 1 gets you to lvl 15 and if you keep going you'll reach the level cap on NG3 and every NG after that you'll always get 5 levels. Trust me I got +200h. What the OP doesn't understand that you can only be 2NG under or 15lvl to receive full xp. His just a cheating idiot.

The only (legitimate) way I can think of is if the playstyle is to not kill anything except bosses, just run through picking up chests for trinkets and rushing to the boss without killing anything... possibly using the architect to reduce the number of all enemies to make it easier to do/not get swarmed.

If that is the case, all I can say is... kill a few things as you go, perhaps? unless something else is going on (bugs, cheats), this does not seem to be an actual game/system/scaling issue.

Nah man. There's no way you can do that. Most of the xp you get on the run is the last 3 levels and you can't run them while grabbing trinkets as lvl 14 to have a chance to beat the boss. He would've gotten shut down by Arista or Arissa or whatever the plant boss name is cuz that's DPS checkpoint.

i didnt cheat at all, i just pushed my sorcerer to lvl 60, took high lvl gear, slapped it on my lvl 1 wizzard and zoomed through the zones, just to realize that the XP doesnt increase in higher lvlst and to run everything again.

I did NOT kill everything but most of it, seems like the XP from lvl 1 to 20 is calculated for multiple tries, so i went to NG +1 with lvl 4 or something.

i had 447 spell power with Lvl 1.

only had 1 screenshot:

The later the zone is the more exp you are getting, the amount given for a zone doesnt increase that much just by NG+ level but later zones like courts and dark halls give like twenty times the exp.

If you are using the drink for -10% damage taken it also reduces your exp gain, if you dont have any other sources of exp you will be gaining very little exp. Generally I don't keep up with the level cap unless I kill most monsters and/or use exp increases.

Exactly this. It's impossible to *not* get a certain amount of levels just in ng0.

If you just run through and skip monsters you wont get much exp at all, if you already have a high level character and thus access to gear you dont really need to kill anything because your gear will totally carry you in boss fights.

I dont know how much exp you get from killing just the bosses but I would be surprised if it alone gets you so much that being level twelve after killing the last boss is impossible
Mawdesty Feb 23 @ 3:24pm
Most bosses don't give exp, like half of them. You don't need to cheat to win without being high leveled. If you don't kill mobs on the path, you of course can end up not being level 15 by the end of NG0 meaning it is far from guaranteed to get that level.

How many people here have even played the game?! So much info is wrong.

As far as exp goes, I heard it mentioned the further from the level cap the more exp reduction you get. Normally that means you can't be level 30 and get easy exp on NG0. It also means if your level is 8 and the level cap is 30 cause you're playing on NG2 then you might be making your exp gains into nothing. I can't be sure that is true info but it definitely feels true to a degree, where all the exp buffs from trinkets couldn't get me past level 15 on 0. If you go in order you hit level cap eventually, but if someone just plays high NG then maybe it's possible they lag further behind.

If that's the case, there would have had to have been runs to get said gear in the first place, in which case a more typical level progression would have happened (as is shown in the screenshot), in which case the complaint is null and void by virtue of being an experience caused knowingly *by* the player themselves.

Again, a self-caused issue making the complaint invalid. If you decide not to kill mobs knowing you wouldn't gain the xp you normally get by killing mobs, you have decided that you don't want the xp that you would normally get by killing the mobs.

This isn't a game problem, it's a user problem.

I was just speaking to the allegation that there was cheating, its super possible to just get level 12 and beat NG without cheating, its not even that hard to imagine.

I dont agree with the OP I dont think the exp is an issue, in another comment I gave examples of how not to have the issue of not leveling enough and brought up things that might prevent that from happening.

I can understand that. I personally consider "cheating" a very broad term these days, simply because inputting actual cheat codes is very rare, so my definition covers things like cheesing high level gear and other various things.

To clarify, I don't actually think he "cheated" and altered game files or anything of the like, so I can certainly understand the misunderstanding.

I'm sorry, where is the purpose of a game, if you dont want to play a certain class (lets take my wizard for a example), but you are kind of forced to play it, for all the character based buffs.
The only logical explanation for that should be:
Push something you actually enjoy, farm gear with that character, and just push those which you dont like to play as far as you need him to go.
I'm sorry, but isn't that the point of grindy games? to be fair this is not my main genre of games. Still i enjoyed every minute of it.

But that is just insane, i tried to play Meele characters since i have more fun with those (they are compared to my sorcerer absolut garbage and unbalanced).
Alls i did was trying to counter balance it with some Character buffs of the OP ones, but i'm still locked in for 12 hours per character, since there is 0 increase of XP when you go for higher Tiers.

Yes i know you get more XP, the further you are in the dungeon, which does not makes it better in any way since you cant go to the Citadell before you zoomed through the current NG(++++) stage.
