Pyre function

Ok, so I finally found out what the "Pyres" do. They remove a part of your curse level.
If you haven't obtained any cursed items, you won't be able to interact with them.
I googled around and found no info about this.

Thanks for this info, just bought the Architect yesterday and was wondering if i should buy that for my run, now i know i shouldn't as i haven't encountered a single cursed item yet :D

At new game+ and higher, you will acquire shadow stacks without interacting with the portals by getting hit with certain abilities, dying in multiplayer, or possibly a timer(not sure), the pyre will help reduce the chances or amount you get in these cases.

So after testing it a bit, Pyres always seem to remove 50% of your stacks of shadow curses. I had 51 SC and went down to 25. Another time i had 65 SC and it went dow to 33. I dont know yet at what amount of SC it gets cleared but i know it does if you don't have many.

Had 22 - first pyre reduced from 22 to 11, second one from 11 to 3. There seems to be some kind of range though.

Pyres remove 1/2 of your Shadow Curse stacks, and will always remove at least 8.
