i bought hammerwatch 2 and now i realize there is other game??? cant f.. understand???

Hammerwatch and Heroes of Hammerwatch are two different series.

just bought the other game and now i realize this is better? i feel scammed the other game was abandoned

If you just bought the other game (within 2 weeks) and have less than 4 hours of playtime, you can refund it. Your profile shows 4 hours so you will have to be very discreet with Steam Support about this.

Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 is a sequel to the first HOH game, which came out quite awhile ago. HOH was quite a ton of mindless fun, especially since if you get bored of farming ores in the desert expansion, or trying to complete NG+ runs, you can play Arena battles and get your butt kicked there (which is a rather fun time sink). I spent 100+ hours on it and didn't even use all the classes yet (but I do not have the very last expansion, I think Moon Temple). The old HW1 engine used in that game definitely shows its age now though.

That game was a great way to kill some hours.

The other game is a RPG.
This is a Roguelike.

There is no "better". Or would you say Mario Kart is better than Civilization, which is better than Call of Duty?

They're entirely different styles of game. While there may be similarities due to being the same development team and a shared foundation, it isn't fair to say one is "better" than the other.

No knowledge on the "abandonment", though. I don't own either game.

Hammerwatch II is awesome as well. I know there are reviews complaining about bugs/crashes, but I did a 40+ hour playthrough with a buddy, and only crashed once.
Shame they couldn't keep patching it, because it's awesome.

But if you don't want it, just refund it...?

Smells like :RogueChallenge::RogueChallenge: farmer.

Real answer Masterpeing the developer can't patch Hammerwatch 2 their publisher literally won't let them.

Its been abandoned by the publisher and they can't do anything now

This one is self published though so it won't have the same issues and it's a different type of game

It seems the devs got stuck on a bad deal with H2. I am glad HoH2 is self published instead...

The game play is the same, what are you on about? The progression is different but the mechanics are the same.

This is the very fun heavily grindy franchise. Hammerwatch is the more crpg based classic version.
