Sanctified water doesn't work anymore?
Just finished a playthrough were i got sanctified water early on, even when drinking a potion before opening a cursed chest or walking on cursed trap i still rack up shadow curse (at the same rate as without the trinket). If it matters, i don't have the stinging curse drink and am on ng+2.
It probably have to do with how the curse gain stat is multiplicative instead of additive, but if it's the case i think sanctified wated should be retweaked or have it's description changed as it is misleading
Someone have a clue what's going on?

It now reduces curse gain to 25% not 0%. It still works and I think pretty good still, before it could be pretty broken since it didnt actually reduce curse gain to 0% but instead reduced curse gain by 100% and so you could get negative numbers and lose curse on hit instead of gain, basicly getting infinite curse removal. With the new version that is obviously not possible but it reduces curse gained from rerolling, so if you drink a potion before rerolling you will get less shadow curse, which can be pretty useful.
I agree that last patch was indeed good for this trinket since you had a lot less moment where you could gain curse, and could reduce all of them to 0.
But i think they should change the description so it does not lie.
Yeah, I agree, right now its either bugged and should reduce curse gain to 0% or the description is wrong, either way it should be changed so that the text on the trinket actually reflects what it does.

It actually does what it says on NG+1. What it doesn't do is eliminate the extra 25% curse gain that is applied starting on NG+2.

It appears that all shadow curse reduction works this way. For instance, if I equip my character with 3 'of Zeal' items, my NG+1 shadow curse gain is 43%, which is close to 0.6*(0.9)^3. If I turn the game to NG+2, it becomes 68%, which is 43+25, and is not 1.25*0.6*(0.9)^3 = 54%.

So, on NG+2 and above, 25 is added to the percentage after all shadow curse reduction has taken place. This is why sanctified water behaves like it does. It takes the base percentage down to 0, but then 25 is added.
