Is the Toy Master trophy bugged?

I'm hoping for an answer from the devs on this. I actually have this trophy, but I'm unable to repeat the process of getting it on another profile, and help other people get the trophy.

I've tried getting the 4 basic toys all at once and equipping them together - that's not it.
I've tried getting every toy in the game at some point - that's not it.
I've tried getting every toy that's available in the current world, including the 2 from the toy dungeons, 2 from the optional key dungeons, and buying every toy in the toy store - that's not it.
I've tried collecting every toy in the game, and then getting every toy available in a cycle. This is how I got the trophy the first time, but it does not seem to be working a 2nd time, or for other players who have asked me about it.

I'm starting to suspect that this trophy is actually glitched and not unlocking properly.

Any chance onebitbeyond could tell us what the requirements are supposed to be for this trophy, so we can let you know if it's working properly?

Nobody is ever going to report this as a bug because everybody is just assuming they haven't figured out how to get the trophy yet, but I suspect that this trophy just isn't working right.

Hey guys,

You need to collect every toy in the game at least once. Specifically that is:
* Vinyl Frisbee
* Super Conker
* Golf Club
* Laser Ring
* Super Size Suit
* The Foot
* Bow
* Bowling Ball
* Yoyo
* Drone

If you think you've done that, let me have your save file and I can take a look to see what is going on. :)

When you say you have to collect every you at least once do you mean in the dungeons or you can buy them too? Because if you can buy them then the only one I'm missing is the conker!

You just need to add them to your bag once. Buying them or getting them from a chest will do it. :)

I did test this, but if it has broken in the meantime, do let me know!

After verification I already got the conker.. so it is possibly bugged. I got all items (some only bought and some gotten from dungeons) in multiple runs..
So technically I should already have had the achievement! I can't send you the save file right now because I'm at work..

Thanks for the answer. I have definitely completed those requirements and not gotten the trophy in the past. I currently have the trophy on all of my profiles that have completed those requirements, though. I just kept playing and getting the toys and eventually I did get the trophy. It's just that it didn't happen the first time I got all those toys, which made me think there might be something else to it - and eventually since there didn't seem to be a way to reliably repeat the process I started to suspect the bug.

I'm playing on PS4, by the way.

While I don't have a save file, I can show you the screenshot of when I got the trophy, which shows me spending 960 at the toy shop - which there are no toys that cost 960 until after you've obtained them a couple of times. So this screenshot does at least illustrate the problem.

I do also have video if that would help. I could show you video of me getting the bowling ball earlier in the game - and then buying it again at the toyshop and having the trophy pop.

I don't know how much that helps. You probably need the actual save.

Sorry I don't have a save file. I do have a 3rd profile I'm playing on that I may eventually get to this point, and I'll keep this in mind if it gets to a point where it would work.

If a PS4 save file is even helpful. You sound like you were thinking PC here.

I can also ask other people to possibly send you save files with this issue, as at least one of my readers is currently experiencing this problem.

PS4 saves are much harder for me to debug, but you've given me a lot of information there that will help me look further into it. Thanks for taking the time to write that down, I will see if I can find where the problem lies! :)

Glad to help. If it's any further help, I can tell you that on my first profile I got the trophy after buying the bowling ball for the 3rd time - and it was the last toy available in the toy shop, as well as in the world.

On my second profile I got the trophy after buying the bow for the 3rd time, and I'm certain that the Supersuit and the Bowling Ball had only been obtained once prior (so it's not needing to get everything 3 times). The bow was the first toy I obtained on that cycle.

And another user reported getting the trophy after he found the Super Conker in a key dungeon - although he was certain he had purchased it several times before - and he showed me a screenshot, so it's not a matter of having to get the toys from the toy shop.

I got this game at the same time as God of War - and while God of War is obviously the better game from every reasonable metric with its half a billion dollar budget - I had more fun playing Swords of Ditto. So good job and thanks.

Aw, thanks, man. I really appreciate the comment. Yeah, our entire budget wouldn't cover a month of their development, so I guess it's to be expected that it's a bit better. :P More to come too! We're planning to keep adding new things to this for a while.

I found the bug. What was happening was that I was counting how many times the player had unlocked the toy before I added a counter. In otherwords, it would be 0, I'd check if you'd unlocked it more than 0 times, then I'd add 1 (instead of adding 1 and then checking, duh). That's why it would unlock after the second time.

Nice!! Cool to see you already found the bug! I'm guessing it will be patched soon? Will it be retroactive you think? Or we will have to get them all another time? Not that I mind! The game is so cool! Keep up the good work! I'm having a blast with my childhood friend with this game! Hope you will add new stuff and maybe new achievements on top of that! Some hard ones would be cool!

It will be patched (hopefully today on PC, maybe tomorrow), and I will also check on load of a save to see if you have collected them all and award the achievement if you have, :)

I've had a giant Gorilla foot and seen a Giant robot foot too. Do they both count for "Foot" ?
