You can restart the run and keep your items.
Its pointless to try to remove time limit because that will completely kill off the entire game.
To rewind time you have to get those prisms and they scale up 100-150-etc.
Im not saying remove the time limit. Im suggesting the option to be available so that the players that dont want to have a time limit can disable it. Can't see that hurting anyone
or the lord of the jammed in enter the gungeon.
You are basically asking them to compromise their vision, they wanted to design the game this way.
Anyone that bought this game and gave it a negative review for having time limit is an idiot because they did say nonstop " You have three days to save the world" in all their posts.
Play the game at easy mode you will get 6 days "or at least double the hard mode time "
considering that I keep my level, main quests, my items ... I don't ever mind dying to get another character, thats how roguelite games are played, binding of isaac ..rogue legacy...etc...you literally have to die over and over and over in order to unlock stuff which kinda made me facepalm hard enough I got a migraine when someone cried about time limit yesterday saying he doesn't like replaying the game over and over and said " I'll go back to playing binding of isaac "
If I was the developer of this game I will add a mode and call it "crybaby mode" which still has a time limit but its utterly slow and give the main character a pacifier and a diaper sort of like what doom did and make the character idle animation to cry nonstop.
I see your point but unlike enter the gungeon and spelunky, this game requires you to level up and farm for better stickers/weapons.
You had to do the same in the binding of isaac and it worked perfectly because you could take your time with it. If you died it was your fault and not some time limit pressuring you to progress.
Swords of Ditto has extremely slow movement to have a time limit and it just forces you to cheese the last boss
edit: how do you keep your items? literally every time you die you start only with the torch the kazoo and the "nerf" gun. If you get the laser ring or the exploding drone you have to go get them again and you can forget your stickers too. That's what makes it such a flawed rogue-like. Any progression you have is just reset and to get everything back is jsut a chore
Farm in dungeons where time doesn't run at all.
and save items for next run to start with a good boost, like the sticker that increases roll speed and what not.
And town people with their quests sometimes gives fragments and at judgement day just talk to all of them sometime sthey will give you 50 fragment just because "good luck on the fight" .
And you'd have an upgraded sword and all since you'd have the blacksmith unlocked and you'll keep getting stronger
Knowing that every RPG game that ever existed required grinding for level up + items
And roguelites keeps progress like rogue legacy/ lost castle so you get stronger every time and those genres are both mixed here so obviously it would take grinding to a new level
And then you will be able to farm a new currency from monsters " The fragments "
When you die she shows up and tells you to pick which item to keep on next run you buy them using those fragments.
you only need to find her once, then she will show up every time you die.
it doesnt let you buy stuff like the laser ring etc. You can only buy stickers and food which will only happen if you have enough fragments to do so. It's progression system should be better, the items you aquire should stay with you since the monster level scales after you die.
There's even a chest in the room when you wake up with a new character so why not give the items back?
I've only played on normal but im going to check it out on easy since there's more days.
Hopefully the devs figure out how to get their vision and the players requests implemented because it is truly sad to see such poor ratings on the store page.
You know what we had back when I was little? Tons of cheat codes in games, we basically destroyed the vision of the devs. Often to come back later and play it like it was meant. So yeah it is not the intended way but you should be able to have fun with your product, no sane dev in the world would get angry if you play just like you want it to, as long as you like it, like noone gives a ♥♥♥♥ how a person is playing their games, it is their business and their business allone. And please don't correct me what devs actually want since I am a dev myself.
Now about having an Option in the Menu would destroy the vision. Yes, I can agree with your it could destroy the intended way of playing, now having a hiden option to get rid of the timelimit would be cool, because like cheat codes it would be hiden, and not get in the way of any player wanting to play it regulary. Now that also means you are saying that you players are pretty stupid, I mean if you assume they would not play the game in the intended manner just because of that option would mean everyone only playes easy and never tries hard.
Anyway back to satanseelingcookies, in those times, I kinda whish we could mod a game ot our licking. I played swords of dity on the easy dificulty for now just because of the time limit, I hate it so bad! I know it is unity but seriously what is about that. I like your last ideas. I think what Raziel meant was that you kept the upgrades on the weapons!.
There is an option now.
It's called not playing on hard difficulty.
The time limit is almost completely negligible anyways with the magic currency, so can it.
Who even are you to res a 2 year old thread? How about we go into your thread history and rag you for 2 years younger your terrible opinions? Get a grip.
*edit: I had a massive headache so just ignore my aggressiveness pls*
You just necro'd this lol. The problem is solved, this was posted before the update. Thanks for the input though, i totally get what you feel since i felt the same at that time. I still wish they'd let you keep the enemies on a harder mode and not have to deal with the time limit but whatever. Stay safe!
Yeah it'd be nice to have it gone, but the workaround isn't too out of the way imo
Thread's already been necro'd, so what's done is done, but hey, I wouldn't mind a discussion on it.
There is no point to start again the game since it's the same game with different art. Even Hollow Knight let you the time to explore the game at 200%.
Storytelling should never have a time limit. People need to have time to explore the game as they want.
And Razzy, stop talking to people like that.
