Game just closes, no error alert
Hello,

I seem to be having an issue with the game. For some reason it just keeps closing a few minutes after I open it. No crash report, no alert...

I am running a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti | 8GB, INTEL Core i5-12600K 3.6GHz

I have tried with 10+ different resolution settings. All graphic levels. V-Sync on and off. Still same. The only thing that changes is the FPS counter.

Does anyone have any idea what I could possibly try to get this game working? I can actually play the game for a little or I could choose and watch the first cut scene a bit. It is not like it does not allow me to do anything BUT it just randomly closes the game.

Thank you in advance!

Running this on Windows 10. Tried uninstalling, clearing the registry, re-installing, still the same issue. Game just closes itself a minute-two in.

Oh boy, I have tested so many things and I cannot figure it out. Found a completed save game as well, but reached the same conclusion. Game just crashes to desktop without an error message.

Hello! I had a same problem, i figure it out:

Go to System --> Advanced System Settings --> Environment Variables (You might get to this differently in different versions of Windows)

In THE SECOND window ("System Variables") click NEW

Enter name "OPENSSL_ia32cap"

Enter value "~0x200000200000000"

Then click OK

You must REBOOT SYSTEM

Please give some feedback, and tell if it also fixed it for you

The Easier way to get the settings window.

1) Press Windows+ R to open the Run window.

2) Type sysdm.cpl and hit Enter to open System Properties.

3) Once you have the System Properties open, click on Advanced.

Hi,

For the simple-minded and uninitiated...like me: how do I get this crash-fix working in Win 11.

I am not able to find "Advanced System Settings" or "Environment Variables", etc.

Please could somebody elaborate - greatly appreciated!
