game won't even load

I get to the title screen, go to start a world, crash. Repeatedly. Refunding.

Do you see a crash reporter window? If yes, what does it say?

Just said SteamVR critical failure. No other game does this. It appears to have been caused by the game downloading Workshop items, as requested by the game on first launch. Didn't realize it was going to take 20 minutes to download 35mb of blocks, but that is what happened. It appears to be fixed for now, just forgot to delete post. Apologies.

I don't honestly believe it has anything to do with your game, and more to do with the way steam handles downloads. It chews up all of my 980 Samsung EVO Nvme every time it's patching or downloading something. 1.2 gbps download, and it sucks my drive dry.
