What To Do If OOTP Is Crashing On Latest Mojave Update
Hi all,

Some folks have reported that after updating their Mojave OS, that OOTP is now crashing when trying to sim, particularly when the game generates preseason predictions.

The crash is in a third-party code library which we have licensed. We have alerted the developer of that library and they're working on fixing the issue.

For now, we've found a workaround that should allow you to play without crashing.

To do that, you'll need to disable multi-threading in the game. To do that go to the expert tab of the settings dialog on the main screen. Once you're there, set helper threads to "none". Doing that should prevent the crash from happening and allow you to advance in your season.

Let us know if that doesn't work for you, but it should allow you to play and progress without issues.

This also seems to affect the Linux port (or at least, the workaround fixes a segfault I've been having when the game calendar reaches Opening Day).

Yes, but the fix is the same and today's patch should fix it on both Mojave and Linux.
