Female Characters?
So I noticed that there is a female option in the game, but only for General Managers. Why isn't there a function for female players?

You can add them to the game pretty easily by editing the database of player names, but I think mostly it's because realism and because we play as the managers, not the players. (What I'd really like is to have female faces in FaceGen...)

Because it's a simulator of Major League Baseball, that's why.

Stupid topic.

You're ungrateful! The developers will take a note of this and they WILL add double-gendered leagues!
Stormstriker Jan 2, 2019 @ 8:31am
Are you planning to do a female league like the league that was around during WW2 as depicted in A League of Their Own movie? I ask because of the recent passing of Penny Marshall that it's possible someone thought of doing this idea in the game. No need to bash him for it.

Good god, are we going to ruin video games now too. MLB is run by MEN and played by MEN and that's a FACT. I knew it was a matter of time before some progressive feminist would try to F**K this up to.

Because in reality, there are women in front office roles.

Also, in reality, there are none, nor have there ever been, any women players in the major leagues.

Maybe try a more fantasy style sim like Super Mega Baseball.

Hate to tell all you troglodytes who are too busy jerking each other off to take note of reality but women will be in the MLB in less than a decade. There are already professional baseball players who are women. USA Baseball signed 2 I believe back in 2016 to represent the US internationally in baseball competitions. The MLB is also desperately in need of fans so makes the most sense of the US professional sports to be the first to break the "gender barrier." I didn't even need to mention the fact women played in the 40's as the only professional players during WW2 so they've long since proven they are athletically capable.

And for all that "MLB simulator" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥: I've been playing this game for over 10 years. I haven't played an MLB game in almost that entire time. So you don't know what you're talking about and please feel free to go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.

Thank you and goodnight.

Can't you just edit a current player and give it a female name?

This is puerile conjecture, subjective as it is ridiculous.

Women are not physically competetive with Men in an athletic sense, end of discussion.

2018 was the most profitable fiscal year in MLB history, you don't even have a clue.

This is true, but even this you seem to distort and twist to somehow fit your infantile argument. It was called the AAGPBL, and was an ALL-WOMENS league (Because even in the 1940's they understood basic physiology and biology, and that Men are better at physical contests than women and therefor it isn't competetive between the two) it had anywhere from 4-10 teams through its lifetime and lasted 11 seasons before it lost out to the returning MLB.

This is categorically false, there isn't even a premier professional softball league. (NPF is growing, but nowhere near popular enough to consider)

Bottom line is you're an imbecile and a troll, just trying to cause issues.

I don't have an issue with adding female players so that all female leagues can be a thing. But your post is just... incorrect.

When someone refers to MLB as The MLB you lose your credibility. You are a triggered feminist and you can go ♥♥♥♥...... yourself. Mostly men play baseball and mostly women play softball and there is nothing wrong with that fact.
