Game Breaking Issue

Hey. So I just purchased the game. Loaded it up. Looks great. Clicked the "windowed mode" option by mistake which caused it to crash... , the game now loads in a resolution larger than my 4k moniter and instantly crashes on the title screen. No amount of restarting and reinstalling will fix this whatsoever.

Well the game loads now, but loading it causes the resolution of both my moniters to change and it runs like a slideshow. I've tried to get it working for an hour now with 0 luck so will check back tomorrow. If a dev sees this good luck never quite seen anything like it. It was running super smooth initally wondering if I accidentally triggered an engine shortcut.

This game is somewhat broken after the user clicks button that allows the game go into window mode the frame rate drops sufficiently. After 3 to 5 minutes of trying to get the mouse to move where you want it to go , I found out that but clicking the box that has the arrows pointing to the center it brings the game back to normal as well as putting the game into window mode and frame rates are now normal .

Hey, sorry to hear that. We are taking a look and hopefully we can fix it soon. It seems to be a strange problem with specific monitor setups including high resolution displays. However, here are some workarounds that may solve the problem.

The game creates a preferences file in %UserProfile%/.prefs/ on Windows or in ~/.prefs/ on Linux and Mac OS.

1. Try removing that preferences file and starting the game again. It should set the best resolution available in fullscreen automatically.
   
2. If that didn't work, then edit the preferences file to manually configure your resolution of choice. You can open it with any text editor. Then set RESOLUTiON_WIDTH and RESOLUTION_HEIGHT to the values you want. You can also set FULLSCREEN to false in case you want the game to run in windowed mode. You may want to try common resolutions like 1920x1080 as they are more probably supported.
   
3. If that didn't work either try to set the cursor size in the preferences file to SMALL.

We hope any of these workarounds fixes the problem so you can enjoy the game as soon as possible. Please, give it a try and let us know if they worked.

I've experienced a game breaking bug.

When I go to borrow the Grimm Brother's book using Nika's card, after I finish the sequence, I'm unable to move or interact with anything, including Agatha's head inventory. The game is not frozen, as the librarian still moves through her idle animations and the music plays, mouse cursor moves around the screen, etc.

We are currently trying to reproduce this error and will try to fix it as soon as possible.

In the meantime you can just restart the game, ask the librarian to borrow the book, and wait for the whole sequence to end, just skip the dialogs but don't click while the characters are "waiting". I hope this helps so you can continue playing.

Same with me. Tried to fix many ways and none does work. I hope the developers fix this problem soon or I cannot play the game.
