The only option for faster harvest would be letting your spouse or housemate do the work.
You can extend your in-game-time:
Menu -> Admin -> Day length (adjust the time to your liking)
For low energy:
Eat cooked meals (cooked by yourself or buy something - sometimes NPC give you food, too). Eating your harvested crops will just increase your energy for a tiny little bit, so eating something cooked is way better. Different recipes restore your energy by a different amount - so try a few different thing.
Also: Look out for energy-booster-meals.
(Library can help)
In case you already know all of this: Sorry - I didn't mean to be rude or presumptuous. I just hope I can help a little bit :)
sounds like there's at least some way to counter the issues i was concerned about, maybe i'm giving it a try soon^^
Oh ok - I hope you'll enjoy this game! :)
(Further info: You can change the difficulty-settings in this game so you can choose to play it in a relaxing or challenging way and you can change the difficulty anytime in the game)
sounds like some kind of vicious circle to me
i mean in all similar games i've played so far harvesting never consumed any energy so the only thing that kep you from getting bigger was your tools capacity but in here it seems purely based on how much you're willing to consume in the end, or am i wrong about that?
I try to accumulate enough of everything in my seasons crop storage buildings to keep for the following years harvest which will be about 40 more than current season. while also planting enough of the other same season crops to do the same thing, in-case those items are added to the quest for the following year. (if it were real life they would all rot but that's how I can hopefully make my game more relaxing for me) Grind in the beginning and later spend time getting to know the NPC's and their stories. Also cooking the rest of the recipes etc.
Also just FYI I don't leave it at long days all the time, Just when I'm working long and hard.
Most of the time I'm happy when the energy goes low so I can use up food/drinks.
Wouldn't it be boring otherwise?
(I haven't played games which are similar to PumpkinDays, so I can't compare.)
