1: I had to plug my micro sd into my laptop and transfer any of the MP3 files I wanted to play onto it.
2: I then had to plug that micro sd back into the Steam Deck and go into desktop mode and move them from the SD card into the music folder on the deck.
3: Start up Beat Hazard and go into
manage music ---> Find my music ----> Search computer-----> a smaller window will pop with options. (You might need a blutooth mouse and key board to be able to select the next options) look for the first file that might be a blank folder right under where it says desktop, click that and look for a folder labeled "home", click that folder to open a folder labeled "deck" then click on the folder labeled "music" then hit ok that should take you back to the first screen where you could select search computer but now it should show total tracks with the tracks you added. Go back to one screen and check "my music" and you should now be able to see your tracks you added.
I finally got around to trying this. I can confirm that "Open Mic - Desktop" doesn't work on the Steam Deck. It just gives a "Mystery Error" message when you try. Seems like you either need to use the built in tracks, the radio, or import your own collection in via an SD card like above.
The SD Card is
/run/media/mmcblk0p1
The Deck drive is labeled Z
