But if flashing in BH2 is less intense on 50%, then I'll see about picking it up at some point.
Oh, also, is there any chance of a Linux port if it's not made already? Failing that, is it compatible with Steam Proton decently enough? Either of those would be nice considering how Linux is my preferred OS.
Also read the dev's comments about Linux support; he's gonna work on getting it at least fully playable via Proton, which is fine by me. Native Linux support would be better, but Proton is fine too.
I don't know if these numbers correspond directly to the actual settings for intensity, but ideally I'd wish there'd be some method of hi-pass filtering used to muffle the brightest effects instead of direct scaling. Another idea would be a toggle-able "night mode" which might adjust gamma and contrast for a more "washed-out", yet more comfortable experience.
Regardless, 50% is too visually intense to be the lowest setting at current!!!! I can imagine 50% would be fine for televisions or budget displays (it is fine), but my ASUS MG278Q is a really good gaming monitor and 50% is very intense flashing, so I'm just guessing displays similar to mine would also show 50% as intense flashes. So...
Please add more intensity scaling options!!!
I dont want to open a discussion on that. just saying.
I've had minor issues and started writing up a suggestions post - but this is one of the big factors. Remove "casual" or "chill" mode from the high scores, if we can tone down icon flashing and the intensity of the music. Changing the volume can cheat this if you have an amp, but I'd like to hear it loud with less seizures. :D

My suspicion is that what is bothering those posting here is moreso the ship flares and bullet animation intensity rather the visual intensity. Although the background does still flash a bit on 50%.
I'll tone down the ship flares and background strobing.
50% is fine now though.
