One chapter, plus friendmaking in each section, took a little over one hour for me? Though I play slowly compared to some of my friends so idk. It can differ since some people tend to get stuck with the Talk Times/Virus Hacking sections. Then there's whether you use the money hack in the bitworld or not, which could significantly increase the amount of play time if you DON'T use it.
So, ultimately, it really depends on how long you want to take on the game lol. One or two hours isn't enough at the very least though.
Reload save. Go to Nanashi's computer BitWorld, interact with the bottom right corner to max out bits (and get an achievement too), buy 99 Love Chocolates. Save again. Make a single friend by giving them Love Chocs (Buy more when you run out) until you get their achievement (You should have 9 friends), then get the normal ending.
Reload new save. Make 26 friends by giving them Love Chocs until you get their achievements. Then trigger the Good Ending. You can now make friends with more people.
Make friends with everyone in the game, until you unlock Mikado. Become friends with him. You now have unlocked the Extra Chapter: Misane Mikoto Cannot Unravel. Play this chapter.
If you missed any achievements (I missed the one for getting a Game Over on my first run), start a new file and spam through the text by holding Ctrl until you can get them.
That was how I 100% completed 1bitHeart in 10 hours.

After 1bitHeart, I highly recommend the spinoff sequel 1BeatHeart. There isn't any friend making in this one, it's just 3 chapters of VN/detective puzzle goodness like the first game, but It's also the shortest Miwashiba game from what I've heard.
Because 1BeatHeart isn't on Steam, you can download it from here: http://vgperson.com/games/1beatheart.htm.
