Can't infuse fame

The game looked interesting, and I figured I'd give it a try, so I got it. I have basically rage quit at this point because I can't figure out for the life of me how to "Infuse" a compass I can't even see with fame I don't seem to have any way of accessing. I've very carefully gone through every menu (at least I've done my best to do so) and there is just no way of seeing either the compass, or the fame stat that I can find.I figured out how to create the mini-map, so I have that available, I just can't figure out this compass thing. Tired and frustrated at this point, so I will see if anyone has any input tomorrow morning. Have a great evening, folks.

I think you can only put so many points into each gem, and each gem has to have a certain threshold met to let you see the next ring.

This would all be well and good if I had a compass I could see. :) Not sure what the gems thing means, since I can't see any compass to see if there are gems associated..

1. Go to a dungeon
2. Open the system menu (ESC)
3. Choose Compass

Unfortunately I've gone through all the menus including this one, and I just don't have a compass option. When I hit escape in the starter dungeon, I have:

Adventure record
Taking a break
Monster book
Item book 1
Item book 2
Option
Back

Update - I finally just figured it out, because I hit the Q key by accident. The Q key is what brings up the menu where the Compass is!

Hopefully this helps someone else.. I had made it to where the first ring is before I accidentally hit that key!
