A better blobber than 90% of the ones on Steam

Really pleased to see this being ported to PC, it's long overdue.

If anyone wants a brief summary: It's easier than Gothic but it's got a few more puzzles in it. Turn based blobber goodness with a wide variety of classes, all useful and well designed. Don't expect AAA graphics, it's probably going to be pretty similiar to the PSP version from the screenshots, but expect depth and rewarding character and party building.

If you like these kinds of games you've probably already wishlisted it, if you don't then as long as you're not obsessed with graphics this *might* convert you. It's easy enough at first, there's automapping (if it's a straight port), and the exploration is good.

Play this: love it. Then buy Gothic and REALLY love it.

"FACELOAD＆SOUNDLOAD

FACELOAD is a function where a player can choose an image they like and use it as a character's icon.

Instructions

1) Place your chosen image in the folder 'My Document' > 'Mebius' > 'Elminage Original' > 'FACELOAD'
The FACELOAD folder will automatically be created upon upgrade."

seeing Mebius, means it really is the pc version that released in japan. which mean it's all high res...

How exciting! I'm a big fan of both Elminage Gothic and Original. As a matter of fact, I played through the 3DS version of Original not too long ago, and wrote a full review of it: http://www.cubed3.com/review/4142/1/elminage-original-nintendo-3ds.html .

Hopefully this'll finally lead to the other Elminage entries getting localized.

Oh and one more thing, it'd be nice if the PC version of Original has a soft-reset command. Having to ALT-F4 after every unlucky level-up in Gothic got a little old.

Unless characters were really old or young level up control wasn't even all that necessary. Though all my party members usually multiclassing as alchemists, so casting few protectorates cover for rough level ups..

I really hope they improve equipment management a bit, it was such a chore in gothic..
Btw is this based on 3ds or psp version? Afaik 3ds version of gothic was more polished than psp.

I'd say it's based on the english psp version because of the music it uses(which is elminage 3 music). also the game has music load and face load. the original japanese game on psp didn't have that if I remember correctly, it was added on the US version.
to be exact, this is the japanese pc version but in english. it's like the psp but higher res.
