I reinstall DirectX 9 with no sucess for the game.
It should automatically launch in windowed mode if it's the last mode you played in. Is it alright if we ask for your game files so we can check what could be the problem? Here are the instructions to get them if you're using Vista or Windows 7:
1. Go to Computer and click C:\
2. Go to Users then your Windows username
3. Go to the AppData folder
4. Go to the Roaming folder
5. Select Boomzap and look for rescuequestgold
6. Right-click the rescuequestgold folder
7. Click Send to then Compressed (zip folder)
If you are using Windows 8 or 10, please type "%appdata%" in the search box to go to the Roaming folder. There will be .rms and .log files in the game folder. You can zip this entire folder and email it to rescuequest@boomzap.com. Thank you!
