Dim mak viability
As a new player, I'm wondering what the overall viability of dim mak is. Right now, it feels like it mostly sucks, looking at the cards.

Yeah, you can potentially win with a single blow, and I can see strategies built around some of the best ones (the ones that kill in 2-3 turns). But given the chi cost and the need to buff the attacks a lot due to how slow they are, it feels like you have to stake pretty much your entire strategy on that one blow, then pray for the enemy to not block nor use the "remove dim mak" card.

The other dim maks just don't feel economically viable. They cost too much chi for what they do, specially since, again, their speeds are mostly ♥♥♥♥♥.

I guess Ninja and Wing Chu can use their huge innate hand speed boosts to make Dim Mak more viable. The problem is that both of them suck ass at gaining chi.

Am I missing something here, or are dim maks just overall underpowered ATM?

Dim Maks are weak if used improperly, and incredibly powerful if you use the right tactics. The key is to boost the crap out of them. Use Chi Boosts and Chi re-channels to have tons of chi, then stack as much speed as possible, use short block line, add chi shake or block fog, double attack, and then make sure to mix up your attack zones so you arent predictable, and Dim Maks become some of the most powerful strikes in the game, capable if taking an opponent from 100% HP to 0 in 1 turn. It can be quite OP, to be honest, particularly Wing Chun due to them starting with a high chi pool. It takes a large investment, but with a properly built deck its very easy to recover from your opponent negating your dim maks. Chi re-channel combined with having all the chi boost cards in your deck effectively mean you can go from 0 chi to 200+ in a single turn.

Not all styles can viably use Dim Maks though. Shotokan and Muay Thai for example arent very good at it, but Wing Chun, Shaolin and Ninja have very powerful Dim Maks, when used properly.
