Game Hints (on request)
Hello,

As per request, below are all the hints that show on loading screens - if your PC is too fast and you cannot manage to read them, hope this will help:

Cheers, Event Horizon

----------------------------------

Protect your fragile party members. Your heavily armored champions are a good choice for this task. Melee attacks generate much higher threat. Observe the paths of the incoming enemies and position your tanks to intercept.

Armor negates damage from each hit. It is especially useful against fast attacking enemies who deal relatively low damage per hit. Consider investing into Armor Penetration or switching to Elemental Weapons.

Elemental Resistances reduce damage by a percentage. The value can also be negative, magnifying the effect of the skill or the weapon. Your champions have various skills that can strip the elemental resistances of the enemies.

There is no protection against the mysterious Void force. What is the origin of this 5th element?
Study your enemies closely. Each enemy has certain strong and weak points. Adjust your party as needed.

Items come in three main categories. Magic (green), Ancient (blue) and Relic (purple). You can also find unique Legendary (gold) items.

Training costs increase with each level. Do not train one champion at the expense of another. One hero, no matter how strong, cannot survive alone.

Attributes can be increased to 30 points by training, but items can increase them even more. What will happen if your champion reaches a maximum cap?

Crafting can fill the gaps in your equipment. Discover forgotten techniques of ancient crafting to learn how to use stronger metals and materials.

Enchantments are powerful additions to Relic weapons but they are very expensive. You can discover enchanting recipes all over the tower.

If you are not certain you can win the fight, withdraw to the city and rearrange your party.
Use the battlefield map to your advantage. If your champions are exposed to a group of ranged enemies, hide them behind cover or create a wall in between.

You can summon various elementals and mechanical objects to aid you in the fight. These are expensive spells and with long cooldowns, but can reshape the battle to your advantage.

Mana is a finite resource that regenerates slowly. Use your skills wisely. If you focus heavily on expensive spells, consider investing into maximum mana and mana regeneration items and enchants.

Different types of weapons have their own strengths. Swords have the highest DPS but can fare poorly against heavily armored enemies. Axes are much better suited for that.

Each class can use different combination of weapons. Choose between two-hand, one-handed and shield or dual-wielding; this might seem simple when you compare damage per second, but there is more to it.

Bows have higher attack speed and higher overall DPS, but lack the punch of crossbows when it comes to highly armored enemies.

Kane excels at protecting other party members from harm. He can wear heavy armor. While not dealing a lot of damage, he has skills that can affect the battle map for your tactical advantage or support, as a paladin-type warrior.

Maeve has no equal when it comes to ranged physical DPS. She can alternate between Bows and Crossbows depending on the role you assign for her. Her high level skills are devastating but require careful targeting to be maximized.

Rakhem is a front line hybrid warrior-mage. He can wear heavy armor and has powerful magic skills at his disposal; the strongest ones requiring that he enters into melee range. He is also the only class that can shatter enemy armor permanently.

Boron is a very strong physical melee warrior. He can only wear medium armor, but has a high health pool. He does not generate mana normally, instead he fuels his skills by attacking.

Aeric specializes in healing and summons. However, if needed, he can call upon the fury of the earth to damage, penetrate or strip enemy defences. He is the only hero that can permanently reduce enemy resistance.

Whisper commands the most destructive powers of all classes, but she is very fragile. Her survival is dependent on battlefield positioning and distraction. Protect her and she'll reduce the enemy army to ash.

The seventh class is something entirely different. Her skill set is difficult to learn but once mastered, she alone can change the course of battle.

Every skill has two alternative enhancement paths. Very often they can change the nature of the skill, e.g. adding crowd control effect. Decide if you want to rely mostly on expensive high-level skills or rather low-cost ones that can be applied frequently.

Certain enemies have powerful skills that either affect your champions directly or affect an area around then. Learn how to mitigate them, interrupt them or avoid them. As you progress in the game, you will encounter a lot of new mechanics that are increasingly difficult to deal with.

If you find combat too difficult, consider choosing different champions or changing the skill setup - or just scale back the difficulty. However, Tower of Time is best played on a level which is challenging for you.

Do not store crafting crystals for later use. Deeper levels of the tower should be rich in them. You can also transmute crystals between the colors.

Not all is what it seems in the tower. What is your ultimate goal? Who is the Power that resides below? What is the true agenda of the Tower Avatar?

The Item Forge is an excellent way to focus your gear or cover gaps. Upgrade statistics on your weapons and armor as you see fit. Maximizing your gear's potential.

You can quickly view all the enchant recipes your champions have found in the Blacksmith / Enchanting section. Some levels of the enchant power are available as a reward in challenges.

Some areas of the tower can be skipped if you want to move quickly through the levels. But it could be wise to check what is hiding behind that corner.

Your mysterious companion, Tower Avatar, has her own history. Discover it along the way to better understand her goals and the role she plays.

Skills that affect gravity (push and pull) require tactical targeting. Experiment with them to discover their immense potential in battle. They also interrupt casts and break channel spells.

Do not stare into the darkness for too long… It can stare back at you.

Enemy skills can be interrupted in many different ways. Know your enemy, learn which skills pose the greatest danger and be ready.

“I see a little shadow that walks along with me. What can be the use of him, is more than I can see. He is very, very like me, from the heels up to the head. And I see him jump at me, floor around me turning red.” –Children's rhyme. Origin unknown.

The human realm was once the hub of interchange between the five races of Artara. As the desolation of the planet has gradually reduced the population to subsistence levels, there has been no known contact with the other races for hundreds of years.

Ancient myths tell of skies of blue and a sun so bright and clear that it would hurt a man’s eyes to gaze upon it!

After many generations of decline among the humans, punctuated by revolutions and the rise of warlords and demagogues, the great libraries of our forefathers have been lost or, worse, burned for fuel. Little is now known of our history.

Fungus and tough, stringy root vegetables, though unpalatable, form a large part of the people’s diet. Sometimes, a few good years pass, and the population grows, only to be cruelly cut down when crops are ruined by floods, or evil fumes are released by the shifting earth.

The tower is a construction of unimaginable size. Upon its completion, it was said that a man falling from the top could recite the full <b>Q’hadash Ras</b> before his death, easing his passage to the afterlife.

Each level of the Tower has the breadth of a city, each vaulted ceiling standing half a mile above the mysterious halls and labyrinthine passages throughout.

The tower is largely intact, but time and tumult have wrought their havoc, and it is perilously damaged in many places.

Through the mysterious powers of the Crystal Throne, you are able to see and hear through the eyes and ears of your champions far below.

First Magus after First Magus held court from the Crystal Throne, omniscient within the tower, and all but omnipotent in the powers they wielded.

Draw skills, like Kane’s Stone Wall or Maeve’s Rain of Arrows offer great flexibility. With Stone Wall you can cut off a group of ranged enemies, so they lose line of fire and need to reposition. Or you can encircle one elite enemy with a powerful aura and separate him from other enemies.

Mana nodes are fragile, vulnerable creations that can end the hero's quest if they aren't protected. Enemies will attack them with near singular focus. Be prepared.

When one of more of your champions are trapped you need to balance between destroying the cage(s) to free them and the incoming enemies rushing to overwhelm you.

When facing portals study them and decide where to strike first. Will you go for the portal with the shortest time? Or perhaps the one spawning elite enemies. The choice is yours but take care to avoid being flanked.

There are four different types of defense towers – Fire, Air, Water and Earth. Each of them has different ranges and abilities.

Not all heroes have strong escape mechanics, though many monsters you fight in the tower are susceptible to being controlled. Blind, daze and stun your enemies to prevent much of the incoming damage; immobilize, slow and weaken those you can't.

When crafting, understand that all quality levels of gear have value. Sometimes that green item is just as useful as a item of higher quality. Especially, when green items have more potential to upgraded within the forge.

It can be easy to get comfortable with a certain group of 4 heros using certain skills; sometimes a fight requires doing something completely different. Some skills are almost exclusively useful for fighting bosses, there is no shame in retreating to tailor your tools to the fight.

Enemies will prioritize attacking those that are closest when they arrive on the battlefield, dealing damage or using skills to generate threat will cause them to find that hero a more appealing target. Hitting spacebar to either slow or pause the game, this will also show who they currently hate.

Not all fights can be muscled over with brute force, sometimes it's in your best interest to draw the fight out and allow your heros time to recover. Especially on harder difficulties, controlling the fight can be more important than winning the fight quickly.

Few questions. I am playing on Epic difficulty, and want to know these before hand or I might get stuck.
- How many floors?
- Do I have enough gold to level all my characters to level 15 if I pick up EVERYTHING.
- Do you get something if you pick up all the negative buffs from fountains? I mean I can just save and reload before using them, so no real danger. (I think you should definitelity get something other than achievement. Like 10 stat points)

Hello,

- small intro floor + 10 main floors + 1 final floor
- if you do some challenges, you have enough gold to level up 5 champions to 15, rest to 12-13.. if you do all challenges, then roughly 5-6 to 15, 1-2 to 13-14. Last two levels are quite expensive
- no bonus.. apart from one particular quest (but that will be clearly marked). Fountains are not random spawn - if the fountain look implies it is a bad fountain (e.g. red water, rotting plants around etc....) - then reloading the save will not change that

There are options to retrain skills at will, equipment is not soulbound, you can respec main attributes for a small cost in crystal --- so there is no really a risk to get stuck due to lack of resources.

One advice perhaps - do not get rid of unique items, even if some of them have negative stats (like a very special ring with -health regeneration but big boost to skill power). They can be very handy if you experiment with unconventional builds.

Epic difficulty is about finding good combination of champions and skills - their synergies. If you get stuck - please join our Discord and we will be happy to help you.

I can only say that it is possible to solo mid-game (so from 4-10) with two champion (damn bloody hard) - we haven't done it ourselves, but heard from players who did it and saw their battle summary screens.

If an enemy has 150% resistance to fire, does a fire attack (with no penetration) heal the enemy? Or does 150% just mean you have to stack on even more elemental penetration to actually do damage?

Edit: Also, if an enemy has 25% fire resistance and I hit it with 50% penetration, will it have a -25% resist or just 0?

I assume having more armor penetration than the enemy has armor does nothing beyond removing the armor that's there. Otherwise armor penetration would be the same thing as damage.

To answer my own first question, it's the second case. 150% resistance does not provide healing, it's just 50% harder to break through the resistance.

You could`ve found the answers with searching.
Penetration only lowers resistance if its higher than 0 (so 25% - 50% = 0%). However, there is also an elemental debuff. If an enemy already has elemental resistance of 0, and you apply an elemental debuff, it will increase elemental damage. That doesn`t work with armor and physical damage.

Last time i played i had 20k+ at the end with everyone at 15, and a couple more challenges available. Half of that was from Death iirc.

The robot in question is on the Service Floor. You will find it in the northern part of the level. You will need spare parts, that are hidden in the area
