Btw I'm a bit overwhelmed by the many choices of enchantments. Do you have any suggestion for what are the best enchantments for each class?
Also what is the latin number on items? i.e "I' "II" "IV" etc AND also what does the plus sign mean? i.e "III+"
With enchantments, if you are talking about normal difficulty then i say:
mantle in chest (thats probably the only significant buff on normal, every thing else except gloves and weapons is dependant on your 'battle feel')
%crit in head
thorns in pants for Kane/Rakhem, magi bastion for others
mana per hit in rings for champions with high hit rate
With gloves its like this. If you don`t have enough cooldown reduction then it is preffered. If you do then attack speed is better. Boron and Rakhem may want attack speed anyway - depends on skillset/playstyle.
As for boots, i think resistance aura is very potent in early game, but anything in that slot is insignificant in later game, at least on epic. I`d say Kaela would always preffer some boost in movement speed.
Obsidian edge is very powerful with 2H melee weapons. 1H weapons are very situational. And i can`t see any reason for enchanting 2H ranged weapon, but it will also be very situational.
I think I will try to experience with different build on my epic playthrough later on and see how it goes. I'm almost done with the current normal playthrough so I'm looking forward to the epic playthrough next.
One last question, the maximum level of epic item you can craft is only IV right? but item you pickup have a chance of level V, is this correct? Also for your late game item, do you prefer craft epic and then enchant the modifier you want or do you think the unique/gold items are superior?
Some of the legendary (golden) items are quite good, and some of them have unique enchantments for that slot (ex. titan helmet, engineer pants, Kelsier weapons). And the best choice is to craft good green item and upgrade it.
Last 2 battles are very different, you can change gear between them but you can`t go to town, so you need to have items ready for both of them. And you will have more than 4 champions in last battle, so its kind of hard to craft and enchant everything for everyone.
Tier V items are very different from previous tiers, and are not always prefferable.
