Pretty much all loot I get is ranged weapons

So loot seems to be random, am I just very unlucky or is there a weird emphasis on ranged weapons? I'm still quite early, but so far out of 10+ items I've gotten all but 3 have been ranged weapons.

I have to partially agree with hesmah. it seems to me that weapons and armor always appear in groups (3-4 bows, then 3-4 swords, then 3-4 brusquests, etc.)

They really shouldn't. Each chest and combat reward is randomized according to the loot tables - and those are evenly distributed. Can you please report this via in-game report issue so we can check your logs?

Second what Hesmah and Carnival writes here. They seem to come in batches of 3-5 of the same type for me too. On the other side, that may actually be just our luck. Only 3 people have claimd this so far, so considering how many is playing, its not actualy that many.

Im also stil in level one, so not drawing any conclusions until i have opened a lot more chests, and gotten many more battle drops.

I had that happen on the first level of the tower but as I got farther down, it seemed to clear up. Those first couple of chest seemed to drop at 3 bows in a row and then 4 swords all were close to the same type of weapon stat wise.

My guess would be that the loot randomization works better when generating loot for the full spread of characters than just two or three. I got like a half-dozen crossbows but still have empty slots on two of my three characters because armor is much rarer than weapons.

If you have half a dozen crossbows, remember you can turn them into crystals. A piece of armor costs 3 crystals so you can get two pieces of armor for those crossbows. If you have found the blueprint for the blacksmith that is, ofc.

We do take into account what kind of champions you get early - and then later as new join - loot tables take this into account.

I guess this is just certain luck on your end - we will try to implement some safeguard around this. What I can promise is that once you get further on, it will stop to become the issue as you will get plenty of loot.

Jtass suggestion is also good - if you found a good weapon or armor - just keep it, dismantle rest and use crystals to upgrade it in the item forge (once you unlock it).

Oh, I'm not complaining. I got an amazing 2H sword for Swordbro and so far he's outtanking and outdamaging the other two combined.

Same here, first 5 items range weapons, 1 one handed crossbow, 4 two handed crossbows...shall we wait for a patch or continue playing? It seems kinda strange that several people post about range weapons specifically on the forum. Never had this problem in Early Access.

No need to wait, while the beginning was like that, after I got my third character the loot started to become more balanced.

Worst case scenario if you feel the RNG is disfavoring you, before each chest quick save, quick load : it should change the loot inside (as far as I can tell it is rolled when you open the chest/do the battle - not when you enter the map).

Clear the first floor before you worry about it too much. Better still, get your fourth character. You get crystals pretty regularly, so don't be scared of crafting gear.
