Help me understand crafting
First of all, I'm playing RPGlite, in case that matters. Now, two questions.

1) Are materials actually finite? I thought they were, but when I redid a challenge fight (that said it would give me no rewards), I got crystals out of it. Of higher quality than it was worth the first time.

2) What's the minmaxy way to craft? I thought you'd just transmute crystals to mostly epic, craft epics, enchant them and rek face. But I'm getting the impression that it's smarter to craft greens until you roll a really good one, then upgrade that one to epic.

edit: 3) Not really crafting but, tell me one thing about resistances too. Say a character has 120% resistance worth of gear/stats/buffs, which shows as 80% because cap. If that character gets hit by a 50% resistance reduction effect, will they have 70% or 30%?

Yes and no.
As i understand it was originaly a bug, but it was left as is. So challenges will give materials infinitely (you get those materials as a bonus for high difficulty).

Upgrades (forges) should be limited (though i don`t remember about RPGlite). So epics are best if you are not upgrading. Blues are best if you don`t care about affixes. Greens are best if you want specific affixes, because it allows you to roll stats in steps - first affix on craft and second affix on upgrade.

Thanks =) I thought I read a dev post saying they'd add a reusable forge that you fueled with crystals, so my idea was make greens until good then spend crystals to upgrade them there. But I can't seem to find this forge.
