Rakhem and level 9 (spoilers)

I recently restarted the game, and played it on RPG lite mode Epic difficulty (and finished it as well, was truly fine, this game is a small gem!).
I remember, from my previous playthorugh on Story mode (Normal diff) that Rakhem leaves the party somewhere after the Orc boss in level 9 for a short while and then join shortly after.
This time it did not occur, so my question is:
Is this event removed for RPG Lite mode? Or did I incur in a bug? Or is it because on RPG lite your character's alignment is naturally much higher than in Story mode?

Yes - for RPGlite we had to remove this event - since it broke the flow of the game.
