I'm going to write this review in point-form to keep things simple.

If you're playing in English this game reads as though it was translated using Google. It's not that you can't figure out what's being said, but it detracts from the immersion.

I got every single achievement in one playthrough, which took about 25 minutes. The game's title menu says that this is chapter 1 so there should be more to follow, but as it sits this chapter has no actual ending. (The store page implies that this is already a complete game. It says nothing about there being chapters.)

There's no grinding! Veterans of similar RPG tropes are going to be bothered by that. However our protag seems to be puzzled about everything, which is why enemy encounters are scripted instead of random. She's "discovering" as she goes.

The first village (achievement 3) has 2 hidden caches of all new equipment. A new Sword, Helm, and Armor for you to equip even before your first fight. This is probably generous, but not all that sensible.

On that note, the combat music is awesome. Battles require some understanding of magic, and Skills, but are not all that deep, i.e: Defend until you have 10 TP, use Concentrate to boost TP, use Skill, etc. Enemies drop useful items regularly. Magic replenishing potions are only a battle or two away, so there is no reason not to use healing between fights.

I noticed one inconsistency with the spelling of our protags name, and one unkillable mob. The "Infernal Bridle", or flame guardian (I can't remember it's name) blocks a Northward path in the Second Area. There's some dialogue that suggests you'll come back this way. For the moment though, I've not found a way to beat him.

That's pretty much it.
I voted to not reccomend because of the length of the game, and the deceptive store page not mentioning that this was a chapter.

There's nothing really wrong with Dark Tales game[play-wise. Even with the low price tag it felt dissapointing. Maybe the devs will make something out of this.

This game was developed by the same developers who brought us Ivan Vs Nazi Zombies and were removed from the Steam Storefront due to thier posting fake reviews in order to dupe the consumer. These Developers have managed to sneak back onto the Steam Storefront in order to keep peddling their asset flip games. THese people have proven the do not deserve your money in any way.

The game itself is basic in the extreme, with tons of glitches, extremely poor english translation, framerates tank all over the place, and in general this game is nothing more than headache-inducing.

RPG maker...

It says 'beta' at the top right, but I think it should say 'broken'. It's an unfinished RPGMaker 'game' with strange performance issues, a horrible translation to English and next to no game play. Asking 3$ for this is a joke. A bad joke.

This game is just like many games I enjoy playing. I love the overall way the game is set up. However at this time I can not recommend it. I will continue playing and update my review if it gets any better but at this point the game has been freezing up and glitching so hoping that will change and achievements are super easy, like I have seen 10 or more drop at one time. Still this game has nice potential. Hoping to make my review positive in the future. Keeping my eye on this one. <3

only played it through for the achievements. it's very strange it's much harder to survive in the beginning than later.

I'm pretty sure this game is a Russain card farm, mostly do to all the achievements with just words "trading cards", and "exchange" although it does have a 4chan Acheivment which was slightly amusing, other then the fact it was burried under 123 different one's you can get in just five minutes by simply walking around. I spent like ten cents on this thanks to a 90% coupon already but I still feel cheated

After playing this game for 5 minutes (Look at my playtime I'm not joking) I allready had 88 of the 219 achivments.
I saw this game on SidAlphas channel and wanted to see myself how bad it is.

Luckily I allready requested a refund but thanks for the achivments anyway!

Dont waste your time or money on this one its a rip off nuff said.
