Battle/Puzzle Bug

So, I've had this problem a few times since I've been playing. I'll occasionally be engaged in battle when the game decides not to register any of my inputs (can't call reinforcements, can't move units, nothing). This usually resolves itself when I back out to the title screen and play through it again and so long as I save my progress between battles, I usually don't have to start over from too far back. However, the puzzles are a completely different issue - if I play through a puzzle and have even a single unit left on the screen, the game will automatically stop and I can't input any commands at all, not even the ESC button to back out and try again. At first, I thought this was because I'd failed the puzzle, but I double-checked myself online and I technically did the puzzle correctly. I tried validating the files a few times, but the issue still remains. Any advice?

geez that sounds bad, i haven't played through the single player a lot yet

the closest thing i have to that is that i play on a controller. so when ever i skip a turn on an online match the game would just not continue (the music is going, the idle animations are going but the timer is still). found out that i can solve it by just using my keyboard to skip moves and joypad to play.

The game honestly has a lot of issue which is unfortunate to say the least

I have this problem to. I cant play first puzzle, and every 3 battle, aspecialy when I am about to win the game freez.

I figured out that checking file integrity in the properties helps. I still occasionally have to go back and do it again, so it hasn't been a permanent fix, but it has helped

Every time I create a barrier, it does this to me. Game is basically useless. I tried the file integrity and it didn't work for me.

What helped me out of this issue, was just launching the game in compatibility mode with older versions of windows. windows 7 worked for me, but you may try other options.

Where can I get help to play game and puzzle, from first campain, I finish puzzle and game freeze, I fight the fight and in the middle of game it freeze. I cant even finish first campain.

I don't know for sure how much it will help, Adam, but I'd recommend checking the file integrity in the game's proporties to see if that fixes the problem

I was able to fix the game by checking the files integrity but then it stopped working again... so I had to keep installing them for it to work for a while. Now, I've changed to Windows 7 compatibility mode and it's working again... (I had to go into my programs, games file on my hard drive to find the root .exe to find the compatibility tab under properties - the copied .exe one on my desktop and in steam did not have the compatibility tab).

Thanks for the advice. Had the same issue with battles and puzzles, after turning on the Win 7 compatibility mode I could make it through the first puzzle!
