Performance Tips
First, I want to state that the crowd system requires memory. Crowds are made of a great deal of meshes which require memory. If you are having memory problems, try lowering the 'Character Animation' quality in settings. This plays a huge factor into the amount of memory used in this game.

Second, the rest of the settings play a significant role in the overall frame rate and performance you will get in the game.

- The jump from high to ultra shadow quality is one of the most noticeable performance differences. This is because each character casts his own shadow in Ultra.

- Character LOD can have a fairly significant impact on your performance but can make the characters have LOD popping issues when on low.

- Terrain settings affect the over all detail in the environment terrains and trees which can also have a significant impact on FPS.

That mostly covers performance tips. I hope you all enjoy the beta!

Regards,

Sean

I had huge fps problem at first, had like 5-10 fps with potato settings, EVEN IN MENU. I solved this by disconnected my second monitor. Now I can run it in ultra with no problems.

specs: Nvidia GTX 1080, I7 7700K 4.20GHz, 16G RAM, win 10

One thing i have to say is, whenever you go into 2x speed the attack speed is doubled but not the units move speed, so units like the spartians and archers become nearly impossible to beat.

This occurs in very large battles when the frame rate is not abble to keep up.

Does this game support Directx 12 or Vulkan? wouldn't that be perfect for this game?

Right now, no. Just Directx 11. We may be looking into this in the future.

I know it is late, but the new list is done. Lots of new units, more specific numbers. Hope it helps!

How many cores/threads does this game support, this seems to be one of the few games that should benefits from more cores/threads.

This isnt game performance but AI performance. When i play i notice that the AI just take shortest path and this leads them to bunch up in areas like paths. They should fill the whole path not just a corner. A cool feature would be adding a path function so we can control the way they move to remove the bunch of guys

now that is something a agree with
