Characters Won't Show Up?

I've tried restarting, reinstalling, and different avenues throughout the game but Louis never shows up where he's supposed to and it's making it difficult to continue in the game. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated...

To confirm, you've yet to meet Louis at all?

If that's the case, Louis can be found in the library between noon and 5:00 pm. This is a second room off of the parlour, through double doors.

If you're in the right room at the right time, perhaps you need to find some items in the library first, to add to your inventory. And have you started on or completed the chores for Rose yet?

I haven't, I go into the study between noon and five and he's not there. I think it might be a bug or something but there's nothing online about it.

What have you done up to this point? And what is in your inventory? It seems weird to be a glitch, so I'm trying to cover all possibilities.

Also, has Nancy seen the schedule for when everyone's in the mansion?

I've restarted the game a few times just to see if maybe I'd missed something, and it's been a few days so I might not remember everything, but I've done literally everything the game will let me do without talking to Louis.

I've talked to everyone else as much as I can, including everyone on the phone, found and opened the attic and the secret room in the parlor and the basement, opened Louis' laptop, found the speaker in the vent, fixed the dumbwaiter, found the letters for the insurance and the dude Rose wrote a letter to, and then just spent like a day or two waking up at exactly noon to try and trigger Louis' appearance. I can't even do the seance until I talk to him.

Also, yes, I did look at the schedule.

It is a weird glitch, especially since I can't find anyone else talking about it. Part of me hopes maybe I did miss something and it's not a glitch at all. Especially since after even reinstalling the game and that not working I have no idea what to do at this point.
