Pixel Alignment Issues

I'm having issues with the floor puzzle. I already know the pieces need to fit in without any pixels showing, however it is not possible. Either the pieces don't light up, or if they do, there's a pixel's width white line between the edge of the puzzle. Another weird thing about the puzzle is that there are pices that fit in the first attempt at the puzzle, but then are impossible to fit in again after I save the game. I have already tried running it in compatibility mode, limited color mode and forced resolution.

If anyone has any suggestions for possible solutions, I am all ears! Thanks!

i did too but if you keep trying they will eventually fit.its tricky because when it lights up you have to be really quick to place it.

This is a known issue, Her Interactive put out a patch to fix the problem: https://www.herinteractive.com/2014/04/patch-message-in-a-haunted-mansion-bird-inlay-puzzle-and-csound-error/

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the patch to work. I just emailed their tech support at [e-mail] to get help.

I had to keep working at it too, finally was able to complete.

I went into my mouse settings and checked the enhanced precision box and upped the speed of my mouse cursor and I was able to finally put the pieces in place.
