How to play AoW: Shadow Magic with nice Graphics and 60fps in 2024 (Win 10)

On Windows type: 'regedit' in your start menu to bring up registry editor.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Triumph Studios\Age of Wonders Shadow Magic\Video

Display Mode should be for full screen, 1=true (fullscreen) 0=false (windowed)
Display Height, Display Width is the resolution, make sure you dont enter as a hexidecimal value. (This is important)
Set Cursor Mode to 1 (or cursor will suck)
Then set your AoWSM.exe and AoWSM.exe in the steam directory to be Win SP3 compatability mode. Then run from the directory not steam.

With this you can even install MPEvolution and play it smooth in FullHD and D3d on.

Now in game press Strg+R two times.

Now tab out of the game and after a few seconds tab in. Game should now work in nice graphic (Direct 3d on) and with 60 fps.
