What culture is Karnaca supposed to be

Dunwall is clearly Britain, Tyvia is based on Russia/Eastern Europe. I thought it was Italian or Spanish or something, but I found plenty of Asian names like Ngyuen and Shan Yuen? It's not a real place so the devs can do whatever but it was kind of weird to see those coming from the same culture as names like "Cienfuegos" (and ofc Corvo Attano).

Okay so according to the Dishonored wiki Shan Yun is not native to Serkonos/Karnaca whatever its called my bad.

According to the wiki, Karnaca's culture is based on southern Europe and on Cuba. As for why there's people there who have vaguely Asian-sounding names, the island has experienced a LOT of immigration.
